Product Review: skin Chemists Placenta Serum & Moisturiser

I had the opportunity to review the skin Chemists Placenta Serum and Moisturiser some weeks ago, and I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. I am a huge fan of the skin Chemists brand. I used the skin Chemists Coldtox Activ+ Professional Facial Treatment some months ago, and it did good wonders to my skin.  So I was very excited when these landed on my doorstep.

  2. The moisturiser smells AMAZING. I could sniff it all day.
  3. I love the texture of the moisturiser and serum. They feel amazing on the skin.
  4. They leave my skin feeling and looking silky smooth, and very radiant.
  5. They are suitable for every skin type, even sensitive skin.
  6. A little goes a long way. You only need to massage a small amount onto your face.

CONS

  1. I found both products made my skin feel a little dry, so I always massaged a small amount of face oil after applying these.

Product Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Powder

estee-lauder-double-wear-image

I have fallen in love with Estee Lauder products. I tried the Double Wear Foundation some months ago, and I fell completely in love with the product. It is the best foundation I have ever used, and I have used loads. So when my Mary Kay powder finally finished, I decided to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Powder and I am glad I did.

Here is the product description:

8-hour staying power. Flawless all day. This worry-free powder makeup stays fresh, looks natural and won’t change colour, even through nonstop activity. Glides on silky smooth, stays on comfortably, without feeling dry. For a continuously flawless look, without touch-ups.

I went for the rich cocoa shade, same shade as my foundation. Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. It is long-lasting. It stayed on all day. I didn’t have to touch-up.
  2. It gives great coverage and natural finish.
  3. I love the compact package.
  4. It is readily available in various stores and in various shades, which is great.
  5. A little goes a long way.

CONS

None. Some may see it as pricey at £33 but I see it as value for money.

I apply my powder with a powder brush as you can see and the flawless matte finish is second to none. I am loving this Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Powder SO MUCH! Estee Lauder is gradually becoming the makeup brand to beat at the moment. I think the brand is slowly knocking MAC off the no 1 spot. Do you agree? It is a more expensive brand but many are happy to cough out that bit extra for quality. I know I am.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Product Review: Facetox Mask

facetox-mask-blog-review-image

I wrote about the benefits of using a face mask some days, and how I look forward to treating my face to a good mask every week. So I was super excited when this Facetox Facemasks Box landed on my doorstep. I am very wary of what I put on my skin these days; my skin is quite sensitive and it usually reacts badly to many skin products I try. That was one of the reasons why I didn’t want to take on products to review on Fashion and Style Police in the early days, because I thought I would upset my skin a little too much. But in the end, I decided to go ahead with reviewing products on the blog, and I am glad I did because I have fallen in love with most of the products I have reviewed, and I have introduced them to hundreds of thousands of people, so it is a win-win.

This Facetox mask is an organic mask and it is meant to extract, pull and detoxify the skin, and it does all that and more.

I found the instructions straight forward and easy to follow. All I had to was mix the Mixed Facetox Blend (Step 01) and Organic Rose Water (Step 02) together in the plastic bowl, and apply the mixture on my cleansed face. I left it for 30 minutes, and wiped off with warm water and face towel.

PROS

  1. I love the packaging.
  2. It was very easy to apply.
  3. It didn’t sting or burn like other masks.
  4. I like the fact that the instructions were spelt out.
  5. It left my skin looking brighter, and feeling soft and smooth.
  6. My skin also felt very clean after wiping the mask off.
  7. It is great for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
  8. It is 100% Cruelty Free, 100% Organic, contains NO Parabens, Vegan Friendly and 100% Natural.

CONS

None.

I can’t fault this Facetox mask at all. It ticks all the boxes for me, and I definitely recommend it any one in need of some skin care TLC or. This mask is one of the products you will be needing for a pamper session. A box of 7 facemasks, like the 1 above, goes for £24.99, while 14 facemasks box goes for £43.99 (link above).
