Prepare Your Skin Beforehand

Simply waking up after a long night of slumber is not sufficient preparation for a good face of makeup, as you must wash your skin as a bare minimum before you even think about applying your foundation. Adopting a skincare routine can be a brilliant way to get your face ready for your makeup, improving the staying power of each product by creating the best surface for application. Start off by using a face wash or cleanser that removes excess oil and dirt that clogs up your pores, and follow this with a good toner that can get rid of any leftover product. Find a suitable light moisturiser that can look after your skin without being too rich and heavy, and explore different primers that are tailor-made to prep your skin before makeup application. Also, it is important you don’t neglect your lashes while prepping your skin. You can make use of a good eyelash serum to keep your lashes fuller and thicker.

Find The Right Products For You

Just because a product is popular amongst your friends, it doesn’t mean that this product will suit your skin. Every person is different and will require their own unique makeup bag, so you must experiment with a little trial and error in order to find the right products for you. Foundation is one of the most important aspects of your makeup bag that you have to source, and there are so many different colours and shades available on the market today.

It’s a good idea to explore different providers to identify the best match for your skin tone, as you can view a range of foundation colors at DoseofColors.com in just a few easy taps. You may wish to order a tester pot before purchasing an entire container of a new product, as this way you can test how it will react with your skin, as well as assessing the colour and quality.

Practice Makes Perfect

Giving up on makeup after a couple of failed attempts at smoky eyeshadow is such a bad mistake to make, as practice makes perfect when it comes to makeup application. Utilising makeup videos and advice and regularly testing out your skills is the best way to learn, and you’ll notice a huge difference in your ability after just a few months of committed application!

Perfecting your makeup application has never been so simple when you can take the time to make the most of the brilliant steps that have been detailed above.

What will be needed to perform a hybrid manicure?

To properly care for your nails and perform a careful hybrid manicure, you need to stock up on some necessary cosmetics and accessories. You can find most of them at, for example, https://roxiecosmetics.co.uk/ or at your local drugstore.

You will need:

• UV lamp, which is the basis for making a hybrid manicure,
• Wooden sticks and nippers – they will be used to remove and cut the cuticles,
• A nail file and a polishing pad, thanks to which we will give the nails the desired shape and matte their plate,
• Cleaner, i.e. a liquid used to clean and degrease the nail plate,
• Dust-free swabs, which are helpful in cleaning the plate,
• Base for hybrid varnishes – it is applied before applying the varnish layer,
• Hybrid varnish – a colored varnish which, when applied to the nail plate, hardens under the lamp,
• Top – a cosmetic that is applied at the end of styling to give the painted nails a glow or matt effect.

Hybrid manicure – how to prepare?

At the very beginning, you need to pay attention to your cuticles around the nail. To make it easier to remove them, it is worth pushing them away with a wooden stick and then cutting them out with pliers. In the next step, use a file to give your nails the desired shape, e.g. almond or square. Then, polish the nail plate with a polishing block. Now all you have to do is rinse them with a cotton pad soaked in a cleaner and the nails are ready for painting.

How to paint nails with hybrid varnishes?

The first stage of painting is to apply a colorless base on the nail plate. This should be done carefully so as not to splash the cuticles. It is also important to secure the so-called free edge of the nail, thanks to which the varnish will last longer on the nails. When all nails are covered with the base, we need to harden them under a UV lamp for approx. 45 seconds.

The next step is to paint the nails with hybrid varnish. Here again, we have to show great precision and accuracy. After painting, harden the nails under the lamp for approx. 60 seconds and apply a second layer, which we harden again. The last step is to apply the top coat on the nails – this layer is also hardened under a UV lamp.

Tips For Wearing Hair Extensions At The Gym

If you are planning a New Year’s resolution to find that fitter version of you hiding somewhere and you wear hair extensions, you might be understandably concerned that the extensions won’t hold up to an intense physical workout. If this is the case, here are a few tips from the pros regarding working out with hair extensions.

  • Keep It Up – Seriously, if you want to burn those muscles to almost melting point, keep your hair up, making sure loose hair cannot catch on any of the gym equipment. If you are looking for the best human hair extensions, head over to the UK’s leading hair extensions supplier, where they have every shade and you simply choose your desired length. You might need a couple of hair ties to keep your hair in place and don’t worry about how you look, as long as your extensions are up and out of the way.

  • Beware Of Sweat – Of course, you can’t have a workout without sweating, yet too much sweat can damage your human hair extensions, which is why you should ensure that your hair is kept away from the skin. The salt in sweat can rapidly dry out your normal hair, which has its own natural way of replenishing the moisture, yet your extensions do not have this protection, so you need to keep them away from your skin, where sweat collects.

  • Use Conditioner – If you wet your Remy human hair clip in fringe, for example, and gently massage conditioner into the strands, then after 5-10 minutes, rinse with cold water, this locks in the moisture which will help to protect the extensions during your punishing workout routine. Do this 30 minutes before you work out and this will certainly help by sealing the hair in a protective coating of conditioner. There are some conditioners that are applied and left on the hair, and providing it does not contain alcohol, this is a good idea, as it will offer maximum protection. It might feel strange conditioning your hair before your workout but it is the protection you want, more than the nourishment, and it does help.

  • Post Workout Drying Hair Extensions – When you have wound down and washed and conditioned your hair, you should leave your hair to ‘air-dry’ until about 80% dry, then blow dry on the coolest setting. Never dry your hair extensions with a towel, as this will cause serious damage that would likely lead to tangling – while your extensions are actually human hair, they do lack the nutrients and natural protection that comes through the follicles – which means you have to handle the extensions carefully if you want them to remain in good condition.

If you take good care of your human hair extensions, they provide a welcome long-hair look and with clip-ins, it only takes a few minutes to change from a short to a long hairstyle. Follow the above instructions prior to getting physical and your extensions will not suffer like your muscles.
