Outfit Post – Yellow Dress for Spring

*PR sample and affiliate links.

Spring is here and I am happy we now have longer days. The darkness is my biggest issue with Winter, so I am happy that is now behind us. I wore this outfit the other day and I think it is a perfect look for spring. Yellow is a colour I go for when I want to popping look, and this yellow twist detail dress came out great. The yellow dress is a new wardrobe addition. I love the light satin material and the gorgeous shade of yellow. It is definitely a dress I can see myself wearing a lot this spring/summer season. I am wearing a size 10.

I usually shy away from midi dress because I struggle to style them right. But I nailed this lovely midi piece! The twist detail is my favourite part of the dress, followed by the bright yellow colour and satin material. It stands out in my wardrobe, as previously had nothing like this stunning dress. I am glad I came across it.

Styling this yellow dress was very easy. I wanted dark colours for the accessories so the dress stands out. So I opted for my good old black sandals and handbag. The cream sunglasses finished off the look beautifully. The weather was lovely on the day so there was no need for a blazer or a pair of tights. Long may it continue.

Hey Fashionistas! How are we? I hope the weather is good wherever you are. It has been raining cats and dogs here since yesterday. Proper gloomy weather we are experiencing in most parts of the UK. It would be nice to have some sunny weather this week. This outfit post is all about me twinning with the Duchess.

We got some lovely clothing some days ago from some cool brands, and we decided to strike a pose together for the first time on Fashion and Style Police. I think you will be seeing more of us twinning as we properly enjoyed ourselves doing this mini photoshoot. I guess the apple really doesn’t fall far from the tree eh!

The stunning True Blue Classic Leggings we have on is by Love Leggings. I am wearing a size 10 and the little cutie is wearing size 6 – 7 years as she is a big 5. We fell in love with the pairs as soon as we saw them. I love the rich blue colour. It pops and it is so stunning. It would look stylish with many tops/blouses I have and I know I will be wearing a lot it. The leggings also feels great on the skin. I like the thick texture and the non-see through guarantee.

Good to know I can wear this comfortably and not worry about my underwear being visible. It is lovely for the chilly weather and will be nice for the warmer weather as well when styled appropriately. I am a true leggings wearer (I wear a pair almost everyday) and I highly rate these pairs. I can see us wearing these leggings many times. My daughter loves the fact that we have the same pair of leggings, so we will be twinning to many locations now.

The GANT Sunbleached Piqué Rugger Polo Top is also a new wardrobe addition. I love the blue colour, it is such a beauty. The quality of the shirt is so good. It is 100% cotton, and it is pigment garment dyed to achieve a washed look. I know this would be my go-to polo shirt this summer. I really like it and it looks fantastic with the blue leggings. Everything else I have old is an Oldie but a Goldie.

The Duchess is wearing her new Red Debenhams Bluezoo Jumper. She also has on one of her favourite footwear at the moment – Heelys X2 Bolt Shoes.

How to dress for a date night

When it comes to going on a date, you have to get your outfit (and your date) right. You don’t want to com across too casual or too keen (if your date is new), so styling your pieces and accessories has to be spot on. Here are some tips that may come in handy for a date night look.

Go for comfort

You need to make sure your outfit is comfortable. The last thing you want is for you to be unable to eat because your waist trainer is too tight or for you to be cold because your outfit isn’t weather appropriate. Always endure you dress for comfort especially on date night with a new person. You want to focus on your date and not on your outfit.

Pay attention to your shoes

The shoes are very important when it comes to styling for a date night, especially when your date is a new flame. You don’t want shoes you can’t work easily in. The shoes need to be the right fit and be weather appropriate. Don’t wear stilettos if you can’t work in them. The last thing you want to deal with on a date night is sore feet.

Be yourself

Ensure you dress for yourself first. It is ok to go above and beyond when dressing for a date. But you need to remember to stick to you style and be yourself. Don’t opt for minis, if you are usually a maxi type of woman. Date night is not the type to experiment with garments and accessories.

Put in more effort

You should dress for yourself first, and be yourself when it comes to deciding on what to wear, but you should put in more effort. Don’t dress too casual. Make a bit more of an effort when going on a date.

Pay attention to your underwear

The last thing you would want is your bra strap or pant line showing, so ensure your underwear suits the outfit you have on. Wearing amazing lingerie also makes you feel even better about yourself, so if you are after some confidence boast, pay special attention to your underwear.

The little black dress always wins

When everything fails, the little black dress always wins, so make sure you have at least at the ready. You can look effortlessly stylish wearing a little black dress with stunning accessories.

Accentuate the back, neck or shoulders

The back, neck, legs and shoulders are some parts of the body that men find the most attractive. You can show off some of these parts in a mild way, and not show too much skin.  a strapless top, a dress with a low back or a mini skirt would work great.

What do you think of these style tips?
