Mixing Vintage with Modern

I am beginning to embrace the vintage side. I was never really interested in vintage until a few years ago. But I am happy to say I am now completely sold on it. I have featured a couple of vintage posts this year and they were well received, so I know a lot of my readers have the same feelings towards vintage.

What I like most about vintage is the fact that I can step out looking great and be 100% sure that the likelihood of me running into anyone wearing anything I have on is almost impossible. With vintage, the chances of that happening are really slim. I also love mixing vintage with modern pieces. I think it is a super stylish trend that will always be in vogue, and I think it it is the best way to go if you are into vintage pieces.

I recently came across Rokit – A Women’s Vintage Clothing Online Store, and I immediately fell in love with the stunning pieces. It is a vintage wonderland with various beautiful collections of vintage clothing and accessories. Rokit has been Keepin’ It Vintage since 1986 and they are still slaying!

So many pieces and accessories caught my eye on the website, there are so many options that I wish I a few favourites of mine –

80s Bold Patterned Blouse

This blouse would been an amazing summer addition. It would look so stylish with rolled up sleeves and dark sunglasses. It would also look great paired with shorts, a cami top and a hat.

I love how bright it is. It is a beautiful blouse and it currently retails at £25 only.

1980s Tropical Print Dress

This bold and beautiful Tropical Print Mini Dress is another beauty I currently have my eye on. The lightweight cotton fabric and winged sleeves are great summer clothing features to have. This would look lovely paired with ankle boots and socks while it is still cool, and sandals when it gets warmer.

It currently retails at £35 only.

80’s Black Trench Coat

I am in need of a trench coat for spring, and this piece ticks all the right boxes. It is black, comes in a simple design and medium weight. I love the flowing fall and waist belt. The welt pockets and notched collar are also right up my alley!

It currently retails at £70.

Spring/Summer Menswear Ideas

I know many men do not really enjoy shopping. Well not like we ladies do anyway. Many of us can easily spend the entire day shopping, if possible, but that is usually not the case with the men. They usually know what they want, and go straight for it. Unlike us women, who can spend the whole day window shopping and trying out various pieces and accessories, only to end up buying nothing, lol. And that is one of the reasons why online shopping is very popular with the gents.

The men I know in real life do not enjoy shopping around but they enjoy rocking stylish pieces like these shirts here from Jacamo Website. One thing I like about the Jacamo Website is the fact that I can shop pieces from various brands. It saves me the time spent going from 1 website to the other, and it also saves money on the delivery costs as the pieces are just from 1 store.

This is one polo shirt that should be in every man’s wardrobe this spring/summer. I think it is really stylish, and I love the fact that it is made with quality pique cotton fabric. This piece would be a fantastic wardrobe addition this season. I think it is a beauty and it definitely screams QUALITY! It would look great on a pair of jeans.

 

 

Flintoff by Jacamo Chambray Shirt Long

 

I love anything denim, so as expected, this Chambray Shirt caught my eye immediately. I think it looks great, and so bang on trend. It would look amazing paired with a black pair of jeans and some white trainers.

This stylish print sleeve polo shirt from the Label J Collection, features short sleeves with a check pattern and contrast front and back. It is a perfect shirt to take you from day-to-night effortlessly, and would look stylish paired with almost anything.

March 2017 Outfits

Hey peeps! Happy new week and month. Welcome to April, I hope it is good to every one of us.

How was your March? It was a slow month for me in every aspect, so I didn’t get around to take as many outfit photos as I would have wanted. I am hoping to change that this month of April, but for now, say hello to March 2017 outfits.

OOTD: Calling the Shots

 

I really enjoyed styling this look, and I was super happy with the final look. It was a beautiful sunny March day, and I made the most of sunshine. Plus all the pieces fell in the right places, which was great. I didn’t even have to think it through.

The star of this look would have to be the tan boots, they got everyone’s attention. This is one look I know I will be styling again, it is so me, and I adore it.

 

OOTD: One Spring Day

 

This is my other look from March. Like the previous look, it was easy to style and was very popular with the readers.

The highlight of this outfit has to be the little black dress with the floral sleeves. I love how simple and chic it looks. I will definitely be rocking the hell of this little black dress this season.

 

I am looking forward to making the most of the spring and summer season, and photographing as many outfit photos as possible, crossing my fingers and toes. Wish me luck!
