Iconic Look: Brandy Norwood

The beautiful and talented Brandy Norwood is the latest celebrity to be featured in the Iconic Look miniseries. Last month, the lovely Alicia Keys was the Iconic Look of the month and it was a very popular post. This time, Brandy Norwood’s iconic look is the talk of the month. I feel this beauty has aged a bit, she looks exactly the same way she looked many years ago. I cannot get over how amazing Brandy Norwood looks in 2021. It looks like she is ageing backwards. Do you agree?

Over 20 years apart and it is clear Brandy Norwood hasn’t aged a bit. She looks even more beautiful. I love seeing her rocking her braids. They look so amazing on her. I wore braids a lot growing up and Norwood is one of the reasons why I did. She made me want to have my hair in braids every time. Brandy’s braids were her signature look. We couldn’t think of Brandy without the braids, or braids without Brandy. They go hand in hand, and I still prefer to see her rocking her braids.

Looks aside, I am also a huge fan of Norwood’s music. Her hit song – The Boy is Mine featuring Monica, is always on my Alexa playlist. I also love her song Afrodisiac. It would be nice to hear something fresh from her. I feel like I haven’t seen much of her around in the last few years.

Iconic Look: Alicia Keys Signature Look

Hey Fashion and Style lovers! I am starting a mini series which will be showcasing iconic looks from celebrities. The series will be all about signature looks of celebrities and how they have rocked them over the years. I am starting this new celebrity fashion miniseries to add something new to Fashion and Style Police and I am full of stylish ideas already. The first celebrity I am featuring on this new Fashion and Style Police miniseries is the lovely Alicia Keys! I am a huge fan of this talented beauty. Her songs are amazing and she is drop dead gorgeous. I love her sense of fashion and I can see myself wearing majority of what I see her rocking. When it comes to music, fashion and beauty, Alicia Keys is the real deal!

Keys’ signature look should come as no surprise. We all know her with her cornrows on and she makes them look so cool! I remember rocking her cornrow style many times while growing up. They were cool back then and are still cool now in 2021. I don’t see this iconic look ever going out of her. Keys’ signature look is right up the street for many.

The beautiful Alicia Keys looks lovely then and now. I cam hardly tell the difference and the fact that the pictures were taken 20 years apart is almost unbelievable. She has not aged at all and those braids are still so trendy. This beauty is one of the few celebrities that can keep a look trendy for over 20 years and still counting.

Stella McCartney says fashion industry is unfashionable

The talented fashion designer – Stella McCartney told the press that fashion industry is unfashionable and needs to be more green to save the planet. She mentioned that the fashion industry is one of the most harmful industries in the world and laws need to be in place to ensure the industry is more sustainable. Stella McCartney met with ten CEOs from the world’s biggest companies in Cornwall to discuss the climate crisis and how to ensure fashion is more green.

Stella McCartney says fashion industry is unfashionable

Here are some excerpts from Stella McCartney’s interview with Sky News –

“I don’t think they know that 150 million trees are cut down for viscose. Whereas I’ve managed to source a sustainable wood pulp in Sweden.

I have always known the fashion industry was doing more harm than good but I looked the other way for many years but no more. It is terrifying to read about the damage the industry is doing to the planet. Sustainable fashion is the way to go and if you are not sure how to go about it, start with buying less, and buying better.

“I don’t think people know anything about it. So for me to be there with these world leaders is really exciting, but also very terrifying because I’m desperate to get across some of the facts and realities of how unfashionable the fashion industry is.”

“I’m kind of here to encourage these world leaders to really look at laws, look at policy change, how to incentivise the young designers of tomorrow, the young fashion houses.”

I hope major changes are made in the fashion industry. Also, I hope sustainable fashion designers are not penalised with huge taxes for going green. It is a shame that anything sustainable is so expensive. It really should be the other way round.
