What I am watching on Netflix this Spring

I am in the Netflix and chill state of mind. Uni work is almost completed for now, and work is quiet, so I have been watching a little more Netflix than I usually do. There are loads of amazing series and movies to watch in the spring and summer months, and this year is no exception. Here are some of the series I am watching on Netflix this season –

Queen Cleopatra

I just started watching Queen Cleopatra on Netflix and I am finding the documentary quite interesting. There has been a lot of controversy over Queen Cleopatra being portrayed as a woman of colour, and I find that so odd, but ignoring the noise online, the series is entertaining and very informative. I love learning about ancient culture, and I am learning a lot from this series.

Night Action

I have finished watching this action packed series some weeks ago. It was so good. I enjoyed the suspense filled storyline. It kept me guessing and the cast did an amazing job. If you like your series a bit fast paced, you should check out Night Action! It will definitely leave you at the edge of your seat.

The Brave Ones

This is another African series I have just finished watching. I really enjoyed this one. The storyline is quite captivating and deep. It is one of those series you either like or you loathe, and I really like The Brave Ones. If you are after something different to watch on TV, and you don’t mind reading subtitles, you should probably check out The Brave Ones.

Workin Moms

The new season of Workin Moms is now on Netflix and it is fab as usual. I have seen a few episodes already and the cast are back with their funny lines. If you are into light comedy series, you should check out Workin Moms. It would definitely leave you laughing out loud.

Another Self

This is one series I am still watching. It is quite good as long as you are patient with it as it can feel slow sometimes, and it is a Turkish series, but it is deep and interesting. I love the storyline and I like watching series from different parts of the world as it allows me learn about various cultures. Another Self is definitely worth a watch.

Beauty Muse: Michaela Coel

The captivating British Actress –  Michaela Coel is the Beauty Muse on Fashion and Style Police this month. I have always found this beauty very intriguing for some time now. I remember seeing her on Black Panther and many other movies. She always has my attention.

I recently started watching Black Earth Rising on Netflix and I am really enjoying the series. It has been on my watch list for a while and I am glad I finally got around to watching it. The storyline is so interesting and Michaela Coel’s character (Kate Ashby) is really fun to watch. She keeps me entertained; her acting skills are top-notch and she brings on the drama fully! I also think she is an amazing beauty muse.

Beauty Muse: Michaela Coel

This stunning woman has some of the most amazing facial features I have ever seen. Her skin is simply flawless and beautiful. I would love to be a fly on her wall to spy on her skincare routine. Her hair is so cool! I love how she wears it and it suits her so much. It also makes her facial features even more prominent. I also find her eyes very; they always catch my eye. It just stands out with or without makeup.

Michaela Coel is a natural beauty. She looks gorgeous every time and she makes it look so effortless. Her look may be too intense for some but I like it. There is beauty in diversity and confidence and she brings them both strongly to the table. I like to see bold and confident women being themselves unapologetically, regardless of societal expectations. This beautiful woman is a breath of fresh air; she is beauty goals all day, every day.

Amazing Series I am watching this month

It took me a minute to decide on the title for this blog post. I initially thought of using “What I am watching on TV this month” but I am not really watching the TV. I do Amazon Prime, Netflix, and YouTube, and I have recently started watching a very interesting series on an App, but regular TV is not something I watch.

Moving on, here are some cool series I am watching this month:

The Chosen

I am currently watching The Chosen series on The Chosen App. It is an amazing series all about the life of Jesus Christ and his teachings. The series is completely free to watch once you download the App.

You can also watch the series on YouTube if you don’t mind the ads. There are two seasons; we are still watching the first season and I am already so into it.

The Wheel of Time

This is another amazing series I just finished watching some days ago. It is based on the book series by Robert Jordan and it is all about five young men and women with magical powers that can defeat a ‘dark one’ and save the world.

If you are into fantasy, adventure, drama, and action, you would love The Wheel of Time. The full first season is available to watch on Amazon Prime.

The Handmaid’s Tale

This is another Amazon Prime series I have recently finished. We binged watch all four seasons within a few weeks because they were that good.

The Handmaid’s Tale is all about June, a fertile woman in Gilead, living (against her will) with a commander and his wife as a concubine, in a country suffering from infertility due to sexually transmitted diseases and environmental pollution. It is definitely worth watching if you are into stories like this.
