The lovely Chrissy Teigen is the Style Icon for the month. This stylish woman is an American model and television personality. She became famous after her modeling debut in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010 and her appearance on the 50th anniversary cover alongside Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge in 2014. Chrissy Teigen has an amazing sense of fashion; she is one woman I enjoy seeing both on and off the red carpet. She always looks good and her pieces and accessories are items I can see myself styling.

I love the outfit our style icon has on here. The green dress is a beauty and I love how she has styled it with a black coat and heels. Her accessories complement the outfit really well. She looks breathtaking. There’s nothing not to love about this look.

Chrissy Teigen is definitely a really cool style icon. I love how she sometimes blends her statement accessories with casual outfits. Her signature is feminine, sophisticated, and elegant. She loves her casuals and you would easily find her slaying style in denim pieces, which is what makes her super relatable. Many of the pieces she wears are regular everyday pieces (minus the expensive designer items). So the beauty of Teigen’s signature style is that you can easily make it your own.

This fashion icon can make even the most casual outfit look so alluring. She brings her fashion and style game to every look, and she nails it. I am a huge fan of this stylish woman.

Spring fashion is always fun. I love the fact that we can wear lighter pieces and style them a bit brighter. Spring fashion inspires me and I love playing dress up with my spring pieces and accessories. If you are after some stylish spring fashion tips, you are in luck. Here are 5 spring fashion tips for your styling inspiration this season –

Make sure you are wearing the right bra

This is one bit many of us forget to pay attention to. Your bra and the rest of your underwear has the power to make or break any look. So make sure you are wearing the right bra for your size and outfit. The last thing you would want is to run-in your whole look thanks to an ill-fitted bra.

Balance your proportions

When styling your outfits, make sure you balance your proportions. The best way to go about doing this is to add opposite volume, so if you are wearing a pencil skirt, make sure your top is heavier to balance the look. Going for an oversized pieces for the top and bottom will create a shabby look.

Avoid match-matchy looks

Sometimes matchy-matchy looks can be very stylish, especially if the pieces are styled properly. However, I avoid match-matchy looks these days because I find they way too loud. I rather complement pieces than match them.

Work on your signature style

Having a signature style makes dressing up even more fun. Once you have a signature style, your entire wardrobe would work together and you will find it a lot easier to find what to wear. Shopping will also be done strategically since you would know areas that need filling. It takes a while to develop a signature style, but once you do, you will find it easier to maintain and build up.

Mix patterns and prints

I love mixing patterns and prints together to create a signature look. It works every time especially this time of the year and the summer months. I usually mix patterns and prints in the same colour and I love the looks I create.

The stunning Melanie Brown, popularly known as Mel B, is the first style icon of the year. I have been a huge fan of this gorgeous women for decades now. Her voice is amazing and her style has evolved from scary to chic. I think she is a great style icon with a fabulous sense of fashion. What do you think?

Style Icon – Mel B

This television personality, singer, actress and author has played a huge role in British fashion. She is the definition of a true fashionista! I love how much she has grown in all areas of her life. Back in her young days, I was not a fan of her personal style. It was way too over the top for me with the bright colours, crazy hair, bold prints and loads of unnecessary accessories. However, when I look at her now, I admired almost every outfit I see on her. Mel B knows what looks good on her, and wears it like a boss. Her carriage and charisma, together with her impeccable taste in fashion make her a true style icon. I love this toned-down version of her.

Mel B is a natural beauty as well, and I will be featuring her in the beauty muse category soon. Her skin and makeup is always beauty goals for me. I love how amazing she looks now. Looking back, I never would have thought of Mel B or any of the other Spice Girls as a Style Icon. It is great to see she has changed her fashion game for the better. Her current fashion stylist deserves an award.
