The stylish fashion blogger and entrepreneur – Olivia Palermo, is collaborating with the Italian shoe label; Aquazzura, on a six-piece capsule collection.

“The Aquazzura aesthetic very much fits my own, so it made sense to collaborate with my good friend Edgardo,” said Palermo. “I think it is no secret that I love a good shoe, so I very much enjoyed creating a ‘survival pack’ for every occasion and women of all ages.”

Aquazzura’s founder and creative director – Edgardo Osorio had this to say about the collaboration:

“Olivia and I have a very similar vision of shoes,” said Osorio. “She is a real style icon and has amazing knowledge about shoes and accessories. We wanted to create a capsule collection of the styles every woman needs in her closet, interpreted with the Aquazzura aesthetic and seen through [her] eyes.

This collection will feature flats, gladiator sandals, booties and other designs. I am looking forward to the launch. Well done Palermo.

Top 5 British Fashion Designers

The British fashion industry is filled up with many talented designers. These top five fashion designers stand out from the pack. They are some of the best designers in the fashion world today. They took the fashion world by storm and never looked back. Their creativity fuels my passion for fashion and inspires me to do great things in the fashion media industry. Here they are:

1. Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen was a fashion designer and couturier. He was first know as the chief designer at Givenchy before moving on to set up his own fashion label. McQueen was best known for using skulls in his designs and the “bumsters” trend. He was a fashion legend and his designs live on.

2. Stella McCartney

Stella McCartney

This super talented young woman is known first as a fashion designer and second as Sir Paul McCartney’s (former Beatles member) daughter. She became the creative director of Chloe in 1997 and then went on to set up her fashion label. I love Stella McCartney’s designs especially her hand bags. She is a fashion force to be reckoned with all over the world.

3. Burberry

Burberry

Burberry is a British luxury fashion house founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry. This fashion house is known for its distinctive tartan pattern and it’s trench coats. This label has an “old school” approach to fashion which I like. I love the very British casual wears and the classic pattern trademark wins every time.

4. Victoria Beckham

This is one talented designer we didn’t see coming, I know I didn’t expect her label to be this successful. Victoria Beckham went from being a Spice Girl(Posh Spice)  to being a WAG and then to being a Fashion designer. Her designs are super stylish and quite pricey and that is why I am yet to own anything from her label but I am working on it.

Victoria Beckham is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. Her fashion label has been a success and I see it being around for a very long time.

5. Vivienne Westwood

Vivienne-Westwood

Vivienne Westwood is a British fashion designer known for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. She might not be the most popular fashion designer today but it does not take away her creativity. Her designs are impeccable and are every girls’ dream.

What do you think of them? Any favourites?
