My Summer Garden Dreams

I can smell summer! The pink leaves are disappearing from the trees, and the weather is getting warmer.

I have started dreaming of how I would love our garden to look like this summer. Summer time usually means garden makeover time. The neighbours and I usually abandon the gardens during the winter season, and for most of spring because it is freezing and we can’t be bothered to do anything garden related. I am sure this is the same in most homes.

However, all hands are on deck when it comes to garden improvements in the summer. Everyone is out getting the lawn cut, planting, tanning,  playing and just doing outdoor stuff, which is great for the soul.

I have a few ideas for our garden this summer. The kids would be off school in a few weeks, and I would love the garden to be more child friendly in time for the summer holidays. They enjoy playing outdoors like most children, so I would want to make the garden as child friendly as possible, so we can play safely. At the moment, our garden surface is all grass, so that might need changing or improving. I know there are different types of garden surfaces available but I will let the professionals decide on the best line of action to take.

The 2 pictures below best describe my dream summer garden. I need the garden to be pretty and functional to suit my family’s needs.

This garden here is garden goals. I love the pink flowers a lot. It definitely looks cared for and it is super pretty.

The slide caught my eye. This would make my 2 kiddies very happy, and hopefully keep them busy for a good amount of time.

I would want my ideal garden to have a child friendly surface, pretty flowers like the pink beauty in the picture above, a shade with some chairs and some space for child fun activities. We have quite a large shed in the garden already, but I am hoping the space we have left can still do the work.

Do you have any summer garden plans? How do you keep the kids entertained in the garden? Please share your thoughts and tips in the comments section. Thanks for stopping by.

Kate Moss Covers British Vogue April 2017

British Vogue’s contributing editor – Kate Moss, is the cover girl for  British Vogue April 2017, and she looks amazing as always. This stunning cover was captured by photographic duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot, and I think they did a fantastic job.

This is Kate Moss’ 38th Vogue cover, and she slayed it completely. The touch of red takes the cover to a whole new level!

I have seen Kate Moss on more magazine covers than I can remember, but this Vogue cover right here, is the best I have seen in a long time. She looks great, everything about the cover is spot on; from her makeup to her hair, she nailed it!

Moss is known to share a little too much in her interviews, so I am looking forward to reading this issue.

Here are some excerpts from the interview –

On launching her Kate Moss Modelling Agency

“As a model I am prepared to stand in a bikini at the end of an ice glacier when it’s minus 30, because that is what the client has booked me to do and that’s the job,” she explained of launching the agency, which she has been building since last September. “So, as I get older, it seemed like the natural thing to do was to take responsibility for my choices both as a model and with the branding I put my name to.”

“I don’t want a young girl to feel bad if she has to wait around,” Moss said. “I was that person with Steven Meisel, even though I was the face of CK at the time. I had to sit around for days. It can be really hard. I’m maternal; I don’t want the girls to feel insecure.”

I didn’t even know she had her own modelling agency until now. Good for her!

This issue sounds like a good read. I will be looking out for it.

What do you think of this Vogue cover? Will you be reading?

Which topics do you like to write about and why?
I love writing about fashion, style, beauty and blogging. I have always had a passion for fashion and beauty, sounds cliché but it is the truth. I fell in love with writing blogging tips articles along the way.

How do you ensure that your blog remains creative and innovative?

I write and read everyday. I read various blogs, books and magazines to keep up with fashion and beauty topics and I keep my writing skills alive by writing an article every day. I have a growing portfolio already, and many of my articles are yet to be published.

How would you describe your clothing style?
I will describe my clothing style as chic and feminine. I am currently very into skirts and dresses, especially shirt dresses. I find them very comfortable and bang on trend.
