Product Review: Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash

Bliss Face Wash

I received this Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash from the guys at LookFantastic and I was eager to try it out. This is my first Bliss product and I must say I was quite impressed. I have only good things to say about it, but before I get right into it, here is what Bliss has to say about the fabulous foaming face wash:

Refresh your complexion with Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash 60ml. A gentle yet effective 2-in-1 cleanser and exfoliator, it carefully buffs away dead skin cells with the round exfoliating beads, as well as removing make-up, dirt and impurities.

Enriched with rose hips, chamomile and passion-flower, it calms and soothes your skin to leave it wonderfully clean and clear. A Bliss best-seller, it’s the perfect multi-tasker.

Directions of Use:

  • Massage onto a slightly damp face and neck
  • Rinse thoroughly
  • Follow with toner and moisturiser

Bliss Facial Wash

Now here are my thoughts on this product:

PROS

  1. I love the sky blue colour, it reminds me of clear blue skies.
  2. I love the fragrance, it smells amazing.
  3. This facial wash is a 2-in-1, a cleanser and an exfoliator, which is great. No need to buy 2 separate products when you can have both for the price of 1. It is a great multi-tasking product to have.
  4. Speaking of price, you can get the 60ml bottle for £7 only. Now this is what I call a bargain.
  5. This product has small beads that gently exfoliate the face. I live the feeling.
  6. It does the job. My skin felt and looked CLEAN. No trace of makeup or dirt was left. All wiped off with just a pump.

CONS

None. I have used this product for weeks now and I honestly have nothing negative to say about it. It is a great product, good for even sensitive skin (I know because I have one). I will recommend the Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash to anyone who is in need of a good cleanser and exfoliator that actually does what it says on the bottle.

10/10.

Product Review: Dermalogica Precleanse, Special Cleansing Gel & Skin Hydrating Booster

I recently received some samples from the Dermalogical skin range and I am in a hurry to tell you all about them.

Dermalogica

I received a precleanse sample, a skin hydrating booster sample and a special cleansing gel sample. Now the deal is to apply the precleanse on a dry face, wet your hands and massage all over the face and neck, wash off, apply the special cleansing gel on a damp face (which should be right after using the pre-cleanse), dry the face and apply the skin hydrating booster to the dry parts on the face.

Before I tell you anymore, here is what Dermalogica had to say about each product:

Dermalogica Precleanse is the professionals deep cleansing weapon. It will help achieve an ultra clean and healthy skin working with your daily cleanser. It is suitable for all skin types.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is a soap-free, foaming gel that is designed to thoroughly remove impurities without disturbing the skin’s natural moisture balance. It is suitable for all skin types.

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster is a super-saturated hydrating fluid that intensely moisturises even the driest of skin. It is suitable for dry skin types.

Now here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. I found all three products easy to use. The instructions were very straight forward.
  2. The Precleanse and the Special Cleansing Gel deep cleaned my face without stripping off its natural oils. I had a lot of makeup on (see pictures below) and they took off every trace. These products clean the skin quickly and brilliantly.
  3. I love the smell of all three products, they all smell like a spa and God knows I am badly in need of a proper spa day.
  4. The Skin Hydrating Booster is perfect for my combination skin. It mositurises the cheeks and under my eyes which are usually the driest parts of face.
  5. All three products, left my face feeling and looking silky and smooth.

Here is the proof of how great these products are, I wiped my face with the wipe on the left after I used both the Precleanse and the Special Cleansing Gel. I wiped my face with the wipe on the right before I used both products, and I had a full make up on.

Can you see how much makeup the products took off?

CONS

  1. The 10ml and 7ml sizes are way too small and pricey at prices starting from £10.95, but I guess you get what you pay for, and these here are great products worth paying that much for.

I will recommend these products to anyone wanting a PROPER cleansing routine. Soap and water take off little or no makeup, and some makeup removers do not take off makeup easily. Most times, you would have to apply and re-apply a couple of times or use multiple wipes but this isn’t the case with the Dermalogica cleasing range. If you want, you can grab yours at Pure Beauty.

Product Review: SkinChemists Coldtox Activ+ Professional Facial Treatment

IMG_3251

I received this Coldtox Activ+ Professional Facial Treatment by SkinChemists some weeks ago and I was super excited to try it out. This brand is quite popular with the celebrities, The Duchess of Cornwall, Tulisa Contostavlos, Rosie Fortescue, Amy Childs, Jourdan Dunn, all love it so you can imagine how exciting it was for me to review this product. I love home based beauty products I can use by myself, I don’t have the luxury of time to head off to a spa (although I would love to) for a facial, so having a product to try out from the comfort of my home felt so good.

This product is a professional quality rejuvenation treatment, one of its kind available on the consumer market to use at home. It comes in a pack containing 5 ampoules, which I used for 5 consecutive days.

Here is what SkinChemists had to say about this Coldtox Activ+ Professional Facial Treatment:

This pioneering professional facial treatment contains skinChemists own unique formulation of active ingredients designed to stimulate cell renewal whilst deeply hydrating the skin. The skin will experience a total regeneration and be left soft and supple, looking young, revived and healthy. Rich in active ingredient Marine Collagen, the serum will counteract the loss of collagen content associated with age as well as other physiological changed that result in lower moisture levels in the skin. Snow Algae, natures key to skin longevity, combats the effects of time by mimicking the mechanism of calorie restriction, improving the endurance of the skin. This in turn improves cellular defenses, as well as reinforcing, smoothing and hydrating the skin. Swiss Glacier Water splashes the skin with a dose of 24 hour refreshing hydration – maintaining the skin’s moisture all day long and providing in-depth comfort for dry skin.

Here are my thoughts:

PROS

  • It comes in a nice package and the ampoules are quite easy to snap open.
  • There is more than enough in each ampoule, to apply generously on the face and neck.
  • It works! After the 5 day treatment, my skin looked and felt really smooth.
  • For a facial treatment that works, the price is quite reasonable at £79.95.

CONS

  • None.

I recommend this product to anyone needing a home based professional facial treatment. I can’t fault this product as it does the job perfectly. My skin is glowing.
