Product Review: Almond Sweet Oil

I am so into oils these days. They are great to have around the house because they are so multitasking. I use my oils in many different ways and I am forever experimenting with them. One of the latest additions to my oil collection is this Almond Sweet Oil by Naissance. This is one of my current favourite carrier oils. I mix it a lot with essential oils for my hair and skin, and it blends in easily, which is why I use it pretty much everyday now.

Product Review: Clinique Skincare Products

I love testing out new products and telling you all about it. I am always in pursuit of the next best beauty product, so expect many beauty reviews. I have used a few Clinique products in the past, and I found them good, so I decided to test out a few more, to see if they could become my regulars.

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter

This is my first time using a body butter. I have heard quite a lot of good things about body butters in general, so I decided to give this Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter a try, and I am happy I did. I have been using it for weeks now, and I love it!

Here is the brief product description –

Luxurious, butter rich body cream penetrates dryness prone skin, delivering a new kind of softness to elbows, knees and heels. So silky, skin drinks it up instantly, stays soothed and comforted all day. This body butter softens rough, dry skin and is easily absorbed into skin. Works for all skin types.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. It is fragrance free.
  2. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
  3. It moisturises the skin perfectly, leaving feeling soft, silky and smooth.
  4. A little goes a long way.
  5. It is easily accessible at Boots, Debenhams, and many beauty stores.
  6. It does not leave the skin oily or greasy.

CONS

  1. It is a bit pricey at £35 for a 350ml jar.

I may be buying this Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter again because I like it. The only issue for me is that I think it is a bit too expensive for what it is.

Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum

I got this serum because I love trying face serums, and I am in need of a good, affordable face serum. I have tried a few great ones, but I found them too pricey and was not able to continue using them. And that is how I bumped into this Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum.

I have been using this serum for weeks now and I have quite a lot to say about it, but first here is the product description –

Here is a custom serum smart enough to understand your skin’s past and change its appearance in the future.

– Addresses the appearance of uneven skin tone, lines and wrinkles, firming, or radiance
– For all ages, all ethnicities
– Five years of research
– Patented technology

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. Small and compact to carry around if needed.
  2. It feels great on the skin. It leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.
  3. A little goes a long way.
  4. Great for all ages and skin tones.
  5. It is fragrance free.
  6. It is easily accessible in most beauty stores like John Lewis, Clinique Website, and many more.

CONS

  1. Too expensive at £49 for a 30ml bottle.
  2. I have not noticed any massive difference on my face, so I am not sure it is doing much if any.

Overall, I know I won’t be buying this serum again.

What do you think of both products? Have you used any of them before?

Product Review: MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation

MAC Studio Fix Picture

I am a MAC Cosmetics lover, as you should all know by now, so this review should come as no surprise. I have been using the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation for a couple of years on and off, and I can see myself using it for a very long time. This product is a foundation and powder in one, designed to be used dry. It creates a matte, velvety finish by absorbing the skin oils.

MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is a one-step powder and foundation that gives your skin a smooth, flawless, all-matte finish with medium-to-full coverage. Its long-wearing, velvety texture allows your skin to breathe. Studio Fix is available in a wide range of colors.

How to use: Apply to skin using a sponge or your desired brush, and blend. You can also blend with your fingertips.

MAC Studio Fix

Here are my thoughts:

PROS
  1. It provides great medium-full coverage, leaving my face feeling and looking smooth/flawless, hiding all skin discoloration, and blemishes.
  2. It stays on for hours, very long-lasting, and because I barely need to top-up so often, I usually have mine for a while.
  3. There are over 40 shades available so there is a shade for every one. I got mine in NW45, and it suits my skin tone perfectly.
  4. It is very affordable at £22.
  5. It is easily accessible. You can grab one in stores at Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis, and online as well.

CONS
  1. Although it is a powder and foundation in one, I find that most of the time, I still need to apply a bit of the MAC Matchmaster SPF 15 Foundation or a tinted mosituriser, before applying the Studio Fix, depending on the look I am looking to achieve.

Overall, I love the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, and I recommend it to anyone looking for the convenience of having a powder and foundation in one. It is a fantastic product, worth every penny, and I will be buying it again and again. You can watch my vlog here below.
