Suki Waterhouse Covers Glamour Magazine UK December 2016

I can’t believe we are actually talking about a December 2016 magazine cover right now. It feels like yesterday I published the first magazine cover for the year.

Anyway, the lovely Suki Waterhouse covers Glamour Magazine December 2016 cover, with a very interesting pose. I don’t know much about her but I find her outfit and striking pose very interesting.

In her interview with Glamour UK, Suki discusses her single life, modelling career, social media and her business ventures. Here are some quotes from her interview:

Her single life –

“I’m on Raya [a dating app popular with celebrities, aka The Illuminati Tinder]. Me and my sister [Immy, also a model and actress] are on it. We just talk to each other instead of potential dates. I know that in the future I want to be in a committed, loving relationship and have kids. Even though I’m happy being single, I spend a lot of time dreaming about being in love. But right now, I’m building… I’m doing all these things for me. I don’t know if I have the tools to be in a relationship right now.”

Social media –

“It’s all grossly inaccurate,” she said. “Everything that’s put on social media is distorted. All these steps that you take to show everyone on the internet that you’re perfect.”

I agree with social media being a distorted view of life, but I don’t see it as inaccurate though. I just see it as a tiny, well-arranged version of real life and events.

This issue sounds right up my street. Apart from Suki’s interview, the party style article also looks like a good read. I can see myself grabbing it very soon.

What are your thoughts on this Glamour issue? Do you agree with social media being grossly inaccurate or distorted?

Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

  1. The cover is OK it doesn’t scream “buy me” I quite like the look of her dress.

I agree that Social Media distorts things especially with celebrities.

Even on us unknowns we tend to share the best parts of our lives on it. Then that can be the truth in real life too.

I think though we all have that friend who shares their life down to the last T on social media. The daily dramas and the posts like “I am just going to gave an apple”

I am careful about my friends list on social media. I don’t care if someone a friend of 12 of my friends. I don’t know you or why your friending me then it’s deleted, blocked ie or ignored depending

  2. Cool cover! I love what she says about being single :). And to answer your question… of course I agree! Social media it’s the perfect way to create the image of yourself that you want to have, it’s like marketing for brands but for real people, what makes it very dangerous!

  3. I agree that social media is distorted and grossly inaccurate. The young girls especially are confused, they think this is how everything is in real life. Parents have a lot of work to do to ensure that their kids are safe and sane in this stupid social media era.
    She looks gorgeous though.

  4. Suki Waterhouse, she’s one of those names I know though when I look at her I don’t know why. She is not one of my fav models…I give her mad props for dating Bradley Cooper though! As for social media, there is so much to write about that, but in a nut shell- its a double edged sword. Have a good weekend hon. ( :

  5. I think social media does give a distorted view of life – I know I share photos that aren’t always a true representation of the day – but as long as you’re aware of that its fine. You need to take people’s feeds, especially Instagram, with a pinch of salt!
