How to Update your Bathroom Decor

*Collaborative post.

With winter almost over and spring around the corner, I have started thinking about doing some spring cleaning and home improvements. The first on my list is the bathroom. I have started looking at various bathroom decor and how to make the most of our little bathroom space. If you are looking at updating your bathroom decor, here are some easy ways to make some improvements on a budget.

A lick of paint

Painting the walls in your bathroom is the easiest way to update your bathroom. We recently painted one of the bathrooms and the lick of paint literally transformed the bathroom completely. The paint on the wall was already chipping off, so the lick of paint was needed.

Add some space and light with a stunning bathroom mirror

Adding a bathroom mirror in your bathroom is a quick and easy to way to update the look in your bathroom. A bathroom mirror not only beautifies the room, it also adds some space and light to the room. It literally opens up the whole room, making the space appear bigger, which is great. Who doesn’t like a bright airy bathroom?

Add some storage

I don’t like clutter at all. It gives me a headache. So storage is very important to me. You can easily update your bathroom with some sensible storage. Apart from the fact that good storage makes the bathroom look good, it also gets rid of all the mess and clutter. A bathroom tallboy, mirrored storage cabinet or vanity unit would work great as storage.

Install a towel rail

A good-looking towel rail is a great way to update your bathroom. It is such a functional addition to the bathroom decor. It provides extra heat output and extra storage for towels, bath robes and all the other bits.

Renew the tile grout

This is one of the easiest way of improving the look of your bathroom. M did this some weeks ago, and it completely changed the look of our shower cubicle. The shower cubicle usually looks tacky when the clean lines of the grout is discoloured. The best way to get rid of the discolouration is by getting rid of the old grout, the next step is to refill and point with new compound.
