There are many ways to lose weight fast. A quick google search will bring multiple ways on how to lose weight fast with lifestyle changes. Some of these ways may not be your cup of tea or may not work for you. If you are struggling to shed off some weight, it is wise to play around with various lifestyle changes until you find what works for you and your body best.
Here are some ways you may lose weight fast with lifestyle changes –
Work on your diet
The first step when it comes to losing weight is to work on your diet. Watching what you eat and eating a balanced healthy diet is the fastest way to lose weight fast. Cutting back on sugars and starchy foods (carbohydrates) will help you massively. Reducing the sugary and starchy foods you eat will reduce your hunger levels which will in turn reduce your weight eventually. Also instead of burning carbohydrates for energy, your body starts to feed off stored fat.
Make sure your diet includes more protein and vegetables. Some great examples are –
Tomatoes
Cucumber
Fish
Meat
Seafood
Spinach
Broccoli
Working on your diet is one very important lifestyle change you should make if you want to lose weight. Diet plays a vital role when trying to lose weight. You can also look up the best supplements for weight loss to help you on your journey. There are loads of options to choose from, so have a look for the best supplements for your needs.
Stay active
You need to stay active so you lose weight and keep it off. You don’t have to go to a gym to stay active. Going for walks helps. Jogging/running is a great way to spend time outdoors and exercise at the same time. You could also join a dance club to get moving or have your own dance session at home if you prefer that. There are lots of YouTube videos available to help you with that.
Staying active is so very important. Getting out and about every day, even if it is just for a few minutes helps your mental and physical health.
Eat your food slowly
Believe it or not, eating your food slowly helps you lose weight. This is one tip I was pleased to discover because I eat slowly naturally. That could be one reason why I manage to keep the weight off. Eating your food slowly helps you feel full quicker which will discourage overeating.
Drink more water
Research has shown that drinking a glass of water 30 minutes before having a meal will increase weight loss in about 3 months. So if you are struggling with excess weight and have tried every trick in the book, you should try this one.
Get a good night’s sleep
Research has proved that sleeping well can help you lose weight. Poor sleep is now strongly linked to obesity so ensure you are getting the right amount of sleep. This is yet another reason to make sure you are sleeping enough. Most adults need around 7/8 hours of good sleep. Poor sleep can lead to many other health problems so getting a good night’s sleep is very important.
Do you have any tried and tested tips to share with anyone dealing with weight gain?
Never used to have a problem with my weight even after having the adult youngsters. About 10 years ago when health issues kicked in, but time, getting older etc I have put on weight. Yo Yo’d with dieting.
Last year after David passed I had lost quite a bit of weight with the stress of it all. I started fixating again on my weight to keep it off. It was a form of avoidance of some feelings I realised pretty quickly. I realised I was getting on and off the scales too much.
I then decided to throw out the scales, eat healthily, and forgive myself if I had a bad few days. Keep it in the day over eating healthily and allow myself treats.
I am between a size 14-16 which is Brit average. This has worked. I am far happier with myself now I have stopped fretting about diets and food
I never weigh myself. I didn’t going on the scale regularly can keep you fixated on your weight and that does no good. Good you are happy with yourself now. Treats are always good.
