Our Stay at Park Plaza Hotel London

Last month, we spent a few nights at Park Plaza Hotel London. It was my first time staying at the hotel. I have heard quite a lot about it so I was eager to experience it all. The reception was very beautiful. It was the Christmas season, so all the Christmas decorations were out and it was a lovely sight. The reception was quite busy with many people checking in when we got there. It was finally our turn after about 20 minutes but then the check-in process itself was really quick. The concierge helped us with our luggage and then we went off to our room.

The room was so beautiful. I fell in love with the decor, it was sleek and modern. The artwork on the walls were such a beautiful sight. I have never seen anything like it. All the amenities were spot on and in good working conditions. I loved every part of the room. It was a perfect relaxing environment.

The location of the hotel is also perfect for anyone who wants to stay in central London and explore all what the buzzing city has to offer. We didn’t explore as it was more of a relaxing holiday for us, but the hotel was filled up with tourists and it really gets busy.

The attention to detail in Park Plaza Hotel London is really good. I love the fact that there were many spots to charge our devices. Many hotels these days only leave a few sockets for some weird reason. We didn’t have this problem at this hotel at all. The cleaning was also properly done every time. The toiletries were replaced everyday and we had more than enough towels.

Another thing I really liked was the setting of the room. The kids had their own section and there was a mini kitchen in between which was so handy. I love being able to store things in a fridge, boil water in a kettle, warm food up in a microwave and wash plates in a sink, when staying in a hotel. I could do all these and more at Park Plaza Hotel London.

The WIFI was also amazing. I had no issues at all with it and it was free! We had a lovely time at Park Plaza Hotel London and we are looking forward to visiting again.

Hey Fashionandstylepolice Lovers! Who are fashion victims I hear you ask? A fashion victim is anyone who is at the mercy of fashion trends and who has no style boundaries. You are a fashion victim, if you buy everything you see on sale just because it is half price, regardless of whatever it would suit your body shape or complement your existing wardrobe. Many years ago, I thought  fashion victims were those men and women, working extremely long hours in factories, for very little wages. Now I know Fashion victims are everywhere and more and more people are victims of fashion and style.

I was once a victim of fashion, drowning in the fashion fads and struggling to keep up with every fashion trend. I am thankful that is no longer my story. Fashion trends are simply that. I shop for what suits my personal style and what I need, not what the fashion gurus tell me I need. The way I see it, fashion trends are for informative purposes only. They sometimes inspire me but they do not control me and it feels great to be able to shop for what I really want.

I got this lovely sparkly sweater some days ago. It is a new addition to my wardrobe and I am loving it. I love how easy it is to style it up or down. The blue jeans is also a new wardrobe addition to my jeans collection. I love the colour and it suits like a glove! A woman can never have too many pairs of jeans. It is one piece I am forever wearing, season after season.  Are you jeans lover?

Caring for Automatic Watches with Watch Winders

I got my hands on a Barrington Watch Winder some weeks ago and I have been putting it to good use. For those who don’t know what a Watch Winder is, it is a device that winds your automatic watches. It comes with a motor for stimulating the hand winding movement and keeps your automatic watches working perfectly. I think this is a great little device to have if you have automatic watches. It takes the stress out of winding your automatic watches, as it does all the work for you.

Barrington has a good collection of Watch Winders in various shades; from shadow black and racing green, to burnt amber and midnight blue. There is definitely a shade for everyone.

I got my Single Watch Winder in Midnight Blue as you can see above. It is one of my favourite shades of blue, and I pleased to see Barrington had this beautiful shade. I also got a Flex Cushion to go with the Watch Winder!
