Outfit Post: Shopping the winter sales

Hey fashion lovers. I took these outfit photos on my birthday, earlier this week. It was a fun shoot and I am grateful to see another year. I have been shopping the winter sales. There were a few gaps in my wardrobe that needing feeling, so I went all out and spoilt myself a little. I have not shopped properly for myself in ages. I buy bits here and there that I need, but this month being my birthday month, I decided to spoil myself a little and it felt amazing. It is so easy to spend money and time shopping for others, and forget yourself in the process. Going forward, I aim to remember to put myself on that shopping list!

I got this jumper along with others some weeks ago from Next Clothing  and I really like it. The colour and the simple design are right up my style alley. It also feels so cozy and warm. Perfect piece for a Cozy Foggy Day! How is the weather where you are?

The weather here this week has been cold and very foggy. There has also been a bit of rain here and there. So dressing warm is so important especially when doing the school run in the morning. Having comfy footwear is also important. I really love the boots I have on here. The black boots are some of the new wardrobe additions and they keep my feet really warm and toasty. The floors are super slippery at the moment, so having the right footwear on is crucial especially when doing the school run in a rush. The last thing anyone needs is to slip and fall.

I also love having a warm hat on to keep my head covered. It helps me stay on. These days, I never leave the house without a warm hat on my head. They are lifesavers.

Why you need a blog coach

I have been offering a blog coaching service for months now and I have gotten many clients already. The service is quite popular with new bloggers and I am not surprised. I wish I had this when I first started blogging in 2012. It would have made my growth a lot easier and faster. Back then there was no one to ask questions and many of us had to learn as we went along. Which is why I decided to offer a blog coach service to anyone who would be able to pay a small fee in return for some help on how to grow your blog, so you can start earning money from it.

Being a blog coach is fun. It is something I have done for free for years on this blog with my blogging tips content. Being able to help bloggers one-on-one is a lot more fun for all parties involved. Now that I offer a blog coaching service, I will be easing off on the blogging tips category. I will still be sharing blog related tips every now and again, but not as much. I have to focus on my clients and write about other topics more going forward.

Why you need a blog coach

Many of you may wonder why you would need a blog coach. Here are 5 reasons why –

  1. To help you grow your blog faster and easier.
  2. Having a blog coach will open your eyes to what you are doing right or wrong with your blog.
  3. A good blog coach will teach you how to make money from your blog.
  4. You will learn how to check the growth of your blog.
  5. A blog coach will show you how to make your blog more visually appealing.

I could go on and on about the benefits of having a blog coach. It is worth having if you are new to blogging or struggling to grow your blog. If you are interested in hearing more about this service, get in touch via email fashionandstylepolice@gmail.com with subject Blog Coach Service.

Thanks for stopping by.

What to do when waiting for your flight at an airport

*Collaborative post.

You can almost see it: that holiday you’ve been waiting for all year… all that’s between you and that white sandy beach is the airport and the long wait that comes with it. After completing all the crosswords puzzles from the free magazines, you find yourself people watching not knowing what to do to spend your time. So this scenario doesn’t happen to you, I’ve put together a list of things to beat the airport boredom.

Play games

If you are travelling with family or friends, think ahead and pack some card games to keep everyone entertained. If you completely forgot to pack some games, it’s time to get creative and fall back on some classic games, like I-Spy or any games alike.

These types of games are perfect for the airport as there are many items and equipment around the airport which are new and exciting, including aircraft tow tractors, baggage carts, runway equipment and more. If you need a helping hand to learn about these products beforehand, visit an airport equipment supplier like Aviation Spares.

Walk around

Remember that you are going to be sitting during your flight, so any chance you have to stretch your legs before is a good idea. Plus, you will never know what the airport has to offer until you’ve perused a bit. Munich airport has an ice skating rink during the Christmas period whilst the Vancouver International Airport is home to an aquarium. What other wonders will you find out whilst walking around your airport?

Pamper yourself

Lonely Planet recommends spoiling yourself whilst waiting for your flight. After all, airport day spas and massage shops have become quite popular (at least at international airports). The only advice is to not “get so relaxed that you forget your boarding time.”

Another way to treat yourself is to have a breather from the hustle and bustle of the airport. You can do this by going into a quiet room or prayer room and give your body and mind some time to re-charge. I’d recommend meditation and yoga or a bit of both.

Visit the city

If you have a long layover and you’re close enough to the city centre, why not go for a day trip? According to Travel and Leisure, “some airports, like Incheon International Airport in South Korea, Narita International Airport in Japan, and Changi Airport in Singapore will take you on a tour of the city while you wait for your flight.”

Don’t let yourself get hangry

In case your airline doesn’t provide a meal or if you’re not a big fan of their standard in-flight meals, head over to the airport restaurants or any restaurants close to the airport and indulge yourself in a good meal before you board. The last thing you want is to spend your whole flight hangry and grumpy – think about the person sitting next to you. Do they deserve it? And a better question – do you deserve it? Didn’t think so.

Talk to other travellers

This is a simple one that doesn’t require any explaining. If you see someone who looks as bored as you are, why not strike a conversation?

Last resort

If all else fails, hit the free airport Wi-Fi. Browse the internet, catch up with friends or beat the best score on Candy Crush. The options are endless.
