Autumn fashion accessories to grab this season

Here are some fashion accessories you should have this autumn season –

Pretty Hats

I love my hats and I make the most of this time of the year wearing them. There are quite a few hats in my autumn wardrobe and I plan to grab some more in other colours and designs. Apart from the fact that I find hats pretty and stylish, they also keep me warm which is a great plus. My autumn fashion won’t be complete without my hats. They are great fashion accessories.

Cool Gloves

Gloves are a fashion and comfort necessity this time of the year. My hands get really cold, so I make sure I have my cool gloves on me before I leave the house. It is important to have a few just incase you lose them. I have some expensive gloves I save for important occasions and cheaper pairs I use on a daily basis.

Comfy Boots

I love having comfy boots in various designs and colours, that way I always have the right footwear. Uggs boots are the most comfortable for me and they come in handy on cold days. When it comes to footwear, comfy boots are a must for me this time of the year.

Big Bags

As a handbag lover, I have bags in various shapes and style, but there is always room for more. Big bags are my preferred choice this time of the year because they have plenty of space for all the extras I carry about when the cold weather comes knocking. I have my eye on a few stylish bags, I can see myself grabbing them already.

How to deal with ingrown hairs

*Collaborative post.

Ingrown hairs can be very annoying and embarrassing. Many of us have had to with ingrown hairs on some parts of our body, and they can be a pain to get rid of, so prevention is the way to go. Ingrown hairs happen when the hair curls and grow back into the skin, just underneath the surface. These annoying little things usually appear as a swollen spot. They are uncomfortable and annoying, and you are very lucky if you haven’t had to deal with them. Ingrown hairs can happen anywhere, from your chin and legs, to your underarms and bikini line.

Here are 5 ways you could get rid of your ingrown hairs –

Laser hair removal treatment

Having a laser hair removal treatment will reduce the ingrown hairs as the treatment uses laser light pulses to destroy hair follicles. If you are dealing with hairs growing in areas you rather they don’t and ingrown hairs, you should consider having this treatment done. I have had 6 sessions of laser hair removal treatment and it is so worth it.

Exfoliate regularly

You should aim to exfoliate at least once a week. This will get rid of dead skin, excess oil and stop the skin from clogging. Dead skin cells clog the skin and this clogging can force hairs to grown sideways, which will lead to ingrown hairs. So exfoliating regularly will stop this from happening, as there won’t be a build up of dead skin cells.

Don’t squeeze

If you do find yourself dealing with ingrown hairs, make sure you don’t feel tempted to squeeze. That would only make it worse and it could lead to a bacteria infection. The best thing to do with ingrown hairs when you have them is to leave them alone. They usually disappear within a few days if left alone.

5 Things you need to know before getting laser hair removal treatment image

Use a hair removal cream

Using a hair removal cream can help prevent ingrown hairs. Shaving tends to trigger ingrown hairs the most when compared with other hair removal processes because the hair grows back with a sharper edge and easy to grow back into the skin when you shave.

Take care of your skin

Taking care of your skin prevents many skin problems including ingrown hairs. Using the right cleanser, makeup remover, body wash, moisturiser, and so on, helps your skin stay healthy. You should pay special attention to your skin after shaving, threading, waxing or after a hair removal treatment as usually the treated area is always sensitive after the hair removal process.

These are a few ways of dealing with ingrown hairs. They are best avoided but sometimes you may find a couple regardless of how careful you are. The only way to completely avoid ingrown hairs is to let the hairs be. Don’t shave, laser off, wax or thread. This isn’t possible for many of us to do, which is why we have to pick the best way to get rid of unwanted hairs and reduce the chances of dealing with ingrown hairs.

Tips for Buying Kids Clothing All Year Round

*Collaborative post.

Buying clothes for your children can be a stressful experience. Looking for high-quality clothes, for your own child, or as a gift for another child, can be made easier with a few tips and tricks to help to make the search easier.

Clothing Sizes

Unlike adult clothes sizes, kids’ clothes are often linked with their age or even weight. This means for those who don’t have children, just knowing the age of the child will help when buying for another child.

Clothes sizes like baby swimwear, for example, will go from ‘Tiny Baby’, 0-3 months, increasing in 3-6 month intervals as babies grow, right up to 15-16 years old where children will possibly begin to wear clothes in adult sizes anyway.

If you’re unsure what size the child is, pick something at least one size bigger than the child’s age- some children grow faster than others, but for those who don’t, the child will grow into the item eventually.

Going Age Appropriate

As well as making sure that the clothes fit the baby or child, it is also important that the clothes are fit for purpose, too. For example, when choosing clothing for a baby it is important that they won’t irritate their skin- choose soft fabrics that are easy to remove and that are easily washable.

Toddlers will need clothes that are durable, as once they start walking, they will need to make sure that the items of clothing are safe from tripping and choking hazards, so should be free of loose or detachable parts.

Kids’ clothing should be of good quality, safe, and comfortable for wearing as they transition and grow.

Think Seasonal

Thanks to end-of-season sales and the predictability of the growth of children, it’s easy to buy clothing suited to kids that will be great for the following year, too.

Most clothing options are available all year round without seasonal scaled prices- this means you can buy your girls and boys swimwear in the winter or springtime at a marked-down price.

The same goes for their winter coats- these can be expensive during peak season, so it’s always handy to have something available for when the chill hits.

Unless donned with sandcastles and sea creatures, T-shirts are excellent layering tools to create other, more diverse looks. Choose long-sleeve tops, shirts, and dresses to create a mix-and-match look.

Shoes

You can’t talk about how to buy kids clothes without thinking of their feet, too. As kids grow, buying shoes can be incredibly expensive as they could only last a few months before they need to go up to the next size- but equally, it is really important that they are comfortable and supportive so as not to make them trip over and fall.

Having well-fitting shoes will ensure that they don’t cause any foot problems as their feet grow.

Go to a professional to get their feet measured properly. Kids will only need a few pairs of shoes to see them through the year- for example- a pair of trainers, boots, sandals, and school shoes.

Kids will develop their own sense of style over time. Keep them cool, without overspending!
