Fleur East

The woman of the moment, Fleur East is the Beauty Muse of the week. I am a huge fan of this beautiful young woman, I am so proud of all she has achieved in just a year. Her hit track ‘SAX’, is my current favourite party jam, I mean, that song can get anyone moving. Her voluminous hair, golden skin, beautiful smile, amazing voice and killer dance moves have kept us glued to her, and today, I am writing all about Fleur East’s beautiful features, and some of her beauty secrets, so keep reading.

Fleur’s big hair is one of the first things you notice about her. I love it on her so much. I was madly in love with the big hair earlier this year as you may have noticed, but I have kind of gotten over it. However, I still love seeing it on Fleur, It suits her face so much and she knows how to rock it. She kind of reminds me of a young Tina Turner, so she better keep the fro, it has become a trademark. She tried the straight hair look some months ago, but I didn’t like it. Thank God, she got the clue and went back to the fro.

Another feature of Fleur I admire, is her flawless golden skin. It is simply perfect. Her makeup is always spot on as well, and I love a red lipstick on her a lot.

Here are some of her beauty secrets:

“Taking my makeup off and cleansing, exercise and healthy eating.”

I do all of the above except eating healthy and working out. I eat healthy but I also not eat heathy some times if that makes any sense. I really need to watch what goes in my mouth. I also really do not have time to do any form of exercise, except if you consider caring for very fussy 2 two-year olds, 24/7 a form of exercise? I think it is.

Product Review: Shrinking Violet Home Edition

Shrinking Violet Kit

 

As you all know by now, I am still in the pursuit of getting back my pre-baby stomach, which means I am always on the lookout for ‘safe’ products to try out. So you can imagine my excitement when the guys at Shrinking Violet, also known as The Loss Leaders, got in touch. I was sent this Shrinking Violet Home Edition by Tibby Olivier, a worldwide leading beauty manufacturer, to try out some weeks ago and I finally got around to trying it.

I must confess, I was not expecting a miracle, not after going under the ice, and not achieving much from the treatment. I had no expectations, but was happy to try the kit out, since I won’t have to leave the comfort of my home.

The guys at Shrinking Violet Home Edition Kit say:

Shrinking Violet is an inch-loss system that has a clinical trial.
It can help reduce up to 14 inches based on our consumer tests. That inch-loss goes on for 72 hours following the treatment and in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle those inches stay off.

How it works:

The Shrinking Violet Home Edition includes a Shrinking Violet Oil 200ml worth £75, a measuring cup worth £1.99, a tape measure worth £5.99, record cards and a Shrinky Suit. The total value of the home edition is £129.99.

To start the treatment, I measure the area to be treated using the tape measure, in this case my stomach, and take note of the measurements, I apply 25ml of oil and rub in properly, then popped the Shrinky Suit on, and set the timer on for an hour.

Here are my thoughts on the product:

PROS

  1. I lost 2 inches! I took off the body suit once the hour was up. I massaged the oil left on the stomach and measured again, and realised I had lost 2 inches already. I was so shocked, I didn’t expect it to work to be honest. It was the easiest 2 inches I had ever lost in my life!
  2. I found the instructions clear and straight forward. Everything was written in black and white, like a little Dummies’ Guide.
  3. I love the fragrance of the body oil. It reminds me of a Spa, and how I am badly in need of a Spa Day.
  4. I like the fact that I could go about my business as normal wearing the Shrinky Suit. I didn’t have to sit still or anything. I was comfortable enough to carry on like I would have wearing my PJs.
  5. My sweat glands came alive in this Shrinky Suit. The Suit encourages perspiration and helps cleanse the body of toxins, which is great.
  6. It is a comfortable, painless and convenient way of removing inches in problem areas. The fact that this treatment can be carried out in the comfort of a home is a massive plus for me.

CONS

  1. Some may find this product expensive as it is £129.99 for a monthly pack, and it is recommended you use if for at least 3 months to achieve maximum results. However, as it is a tried and tested product that actually works, it is worth every penny in my books.
  2. It could get really messy as you will be applying a lot of oil (25ml), so I advise you do this in a bathroom or something.

 

Aftercare

  1. I can’t shower, swim or exercise for the first 12 hours after the treatment, in order for the Shrinking Violet Oil to be absorbed completely.
  2. I need to drink a litre of water a day for the first 4 days after treatment, in order to flush out as many toxins as possible.

Dolled Up Hair Revew FSP

I recently received this 18″ Dip Dye Deluxe Remy Weave Hair Extensions 140g by Dolled Up Hair, some weeks ago, and I finally got around to installing it last week. I wanted a bright new look, so I went for a jet black, golden sands and copper-red combination, and I got exactly what I wanted. Before I dive into the review, here is what Dolled Up Hair has to say about this hair extensions:

Get a more exotic and flamboyant look with Dolled Up’s Deluxe dip dye weave hair extensions.

Designed to be weaved/woven/braided or glued into your hair, they are shiny, soft and perfect to add length, thickness and luxuriousness to your hairstyle.

“Dip-dye” means they are multicoloured (not single-coloured), featuring either 2 or 3 colours so you can create vibrant colour combinations.

Made from 100% Remy (also known as “Remi”) real human Brazilian hair, they can be washed, curled, straightened and blow-dried.

Hair Review

So I installed the weave, and had it curled with my good old bendy rollers, and here are my thoughts:

PROS

  1. It is very thick; it added a lot of volume to my hair.
  2. There has been no shredding whatsoever with this hair.
  3. I found this weave so easy to comb through.
  4. It is soft and shiny, which is fab.
  5. I love the multi coloured design a lot. It is very unique; I have never seen anything like it. There are 7 “dip-dyed” colour combinations;

Jet Black / Golden Sands / Copper Red

Natural Black / Golden Sands / Copper Red

Natural Black / Dark Ash Blonde / Pink

Jet Black / Strawberry Blonde

Jet Black / Bright Red

Jet Black / Dark Red

Jet Black / Purple, so there should be a combination for every woman.

6. It is 100%, real human Brazilian hair, so it can be reused, washed, curled, straightened, dyed and blow-dried.

7. The weave is so versatile; they can be either woven, sewn, clipped-in or even glued into your hair.

CONS

  1. I received one pack to review, but I needed more than a pack, because I like my weaves full. I added a bit of my old Brazilian weave, to achieve the volume I wanted, so have that in mind. If you want yours as full, you will need to get at least 2 packs.
  2. A pack of the 18″ Dip Dye Deluxe Remy Weave Hair Extensions 140g currently goes for £100, some may find this pricey, but when it comes to hair extensions, quality is everything and I usually find I get what I pay for, so £100 for this is quite OK.
