I really like this cover. I think Hailey Baldwin looks amazing on it. Her hair and makeup is so beautiful. ELLE got this cover right!

Her interview with ELLE Magazine sounds like it would be a great read. This is my first time hearing of her, and I am curious to know more. Here are some excerpts from her interview –

On her modelling career

‘I work my a** off to make what I have and to prove that this is what I want to do,’ Baldwin tells ELLE. ‘I want to be a model. I don’t think I would be where I am if people didn’t see something in me.

I put all my modelling [photos] on my Instagram because I’m showing it to people. It’s not about me getting paid to model for things on Instagram – of course, sometimes we do get paid for things we do for Instagram and Twitter – but there is a line of calling someone an Insta model or an Insta star.’

Good to know she is working hard to make a name for herself.

On her love life

During ELLE’s interview, YouTube megastar Cameron Dallas sits on a table behind with Baldwin’s parents – it was the first time they had met. ‘He’s not my boyfriend yet. Technically, I’m single’ she says, but the meet is making her jittery. ‘It makes me so nervous, oh my God. I don’t want my mom to be like, “So…”‘ she says, flicking her head between their table and where ELLE is sat. The burgeoning relationship won’t be a shock to Mum and Dad, though. ‘My parents know everything. I’ve cried to them and been like, “I don’t understand why he blah blah blah…” And then my mom always says, “You need to show a lot of grace and be patient and forgiving.” And then there’s my dad, who’s like, “You know he’s never going to change.”‘

I love how simple this cover looks. And Emma Watson looks very beautiful in a natural way as always. I am happy to see she is back to acting after taking a year out to focus on her activism. It feels like I haven’t seen her in a movie in ages.

Speaking with Lorraine Candy, Watson talks about her new movie – Beauty and the Beast, taking time off acting for activism and everything else. Here are some quotes from her interview –

On taking a year off acting

‘It wasn’t about me necessarily proving anything… I was just thinking that I have this year to myself, so let’s see what we can do to ‘move the needle’ and make a difference.’

Good for her. We all should try to make a difference in our everyday life.

On her role in the new movie – Beauty and the Beast

‘For me, Beauty was the perfect, most joyful thing to do… There was something connected about Hermione and Belle, and it was good to be reminded that I am an actress; this is what I do. The film is pure escapism.’

It sounds like a great movie. I can’t wait to watch it.

On dealing with critics

‘It really toughened me up…There is a level of criticism that comes with being an actress and a public figure, which I expect, but once you take a stance on something like feminism, that’s a completely different ball game.’

One thing I know for a fact is that you can’t please everyone. So I live my life and do me unapologetically. And you should too.

This new issue of ELLE magazine sounds interesting. I will be looking out for it.

What do you think of this new issue? Are you a fan of Emma Watson?

I love how colourful the cover is. Her hair and makeup is on point (love the red lippie), and her blue outfit is very stylish. I really can’t fault this cover. ELLE ticked all the right magazine cover boxes.

I read a few excerpts from Elle Fanning’s interview with ELLE, and it sounds like it would be a great read. Here are some of them:

Limiting her social media presence

‘I recently turned my Instagram public on my 18th birthday, but I still don’t post everything I do, and I’m not on Twitter or Facebook. You have to leave a little mystery. With old movie stars, all you saw were rare interviews where they only shared what they wanted to – that’s what made them so interesting. You could separate the characters from the women, so if you watch them on-screen you’re not thinking about what they had for breakfast.’

I am impressed to see she is not as social media crazy as the rest of her peers. The deal with social media is to run it and not let it run you. She sounds like a smart young lady.

The power of silence

‘I’ve just finished shooting with Sofia Coppola and she’s one of the quietest people ever, but there’s a real power to her silence. When she just stares at you from across a take, you know you need to get the shot.’

I agree, there is real power in silence.
