Models Cover ELLE UK August 2016 Issue

ELLE UK August 2016

It is the season of group models on magazine covers and I am loving it so much. On ELLE UK August 2016 issue, we have 4 beautiful models gracing the cover; Ysaunny Brito, Bhumika Arora, Sofie Hemmet, and Maggi Jablonski, and they are all rocking Prada pieces. This cover was shot by photographer Kai Z Feng for ELLE.

I like the fact that these ladies are models on the rise and not supermodels. I like to see new, fresh faces on the cover of a magazine every now and again. I also like the fact this cover is the reader’s choice cover. This is actually ELLE’s first ever group cover shot featuring new models. The whole idea behind the cover is to celebrate fashion’s brave new spirit, and the power in being YOU. I like it.

I really like this cover. I like the fact that various races are featured on it. The beautiful faces are strong and fierce and it looks excellently. This here right is one of my favourite ELLE UK covers till date.F

I am interested in the features on the cover as well especially ‘GET NAKED – The right nude lipstick for you’. That sounds like an article I need to read after my last encounter with a nude lipstick. I am still in the pursuit of a nude lipstick that will look good on me. The ‘GET HIGH – The heel is back’ also sounds like an interesting fashion article.

I am hoping to grab a copy of this issue before it goes off the newsstands. I am quite behind on my reading this month. I am currently reading Anne Frank’s Diary – The Diary of a Young Girl, but once I am done with that, I will play catch up on the others.

What are your thoughts on this August cover? Do you like it? Have you read the issue?

Drop me a comment, lets chat.

Thanks for reading and commenting xo

Bella Hadid Covers ELLE UK July 2016 Issue

Bella_Hadid_COVER_MAIN_JULY1

The model; Bella Hadid is looking very fierce on the cover of ELLE UK July 2016 issue. I am loving this cover so much. The pose, denim shirt, light makeup and messy hair looks amazing. I knew little or nothing about Bella Hadid, never heard of her until this cover, so I was very curious to read more about her. I guessed she was related to the famous Gigi Hadid, they are actually sisters, but that is all I knew, her face didn’t ring a bell.

However, after reading her interview with ELLE, I know quite a bit about her now. Her full name is Isabella “Bella” Khair Hadid. She is an American fashion model, signed to IMG Models. She was born in California in 1996 to Yolanda Hadid and Mohamed Hadid. She has a fantastic modelling career, and has recently appeared on the campaigns of Balmain x H&M, Marc Jacobs, and Topshop. Her mother Yolanda is actually a ‘Real Housewife’ on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and that is how the family got into the limelight.

When asked how she copes in the demanding world of modelling:

My mom always taught me to think about something happy when I’m working, because it kind of shows through your face. I used to think about my horses. But now I think about other things. I wonder what was going through her head during the shot when she was stand- ing outside in the freezing rain, wearing just a high-cut red swimsuit and leather jacket? Well, that’s more of an aggressive look. It depends on what the vibe is. I was probably thinking, “Get me the hell out of this bathing suit.’”

I love her sense of humour. A woman with a good sense of humour can survive anything. What are your thoughts on Bella Hadid? Have you heard of her?

Léa Seydoux Covers ELLE UK June 2016 Issue

The pretty actress – Léa Seydoux is the cover girl for ELLE UK June 2016 issue and she is loving fantastic on the cover. This beauty bares it all in her interview with the magazine. She talks about sexism in the film industry, her own sexuality, suffering from depression, and the impact of the recent Paris attacks on her life.

I love what she has on in all the pictures. I am currently reading this issue, and I am loving it so far. The fact that she talks about major issues that many will shy away from talking about, is an instant turn on for me. I like a deep woman. Here is a quote from an interview with ELLE UK:

On The Paris Attacks

‘We were a few metres from where it happened. It was very strange…I stayed in my house for a week and I didn’t go out. I was obsessed by the news… I was just very sad. And it was like a big giant depression all over Paris and everybody was talking about this, obsessed with it. And for me, I mean, I don’t think I’m scared of terrorism. I don’t want to lose my freedom because of that. I want to still live like normal. But even me, I was paranoid for a few weeks.’

I can kind of relate with what she has said. I was nowhere near Paris when the attacks happened but I remember being so very scared, and worried sick about the attacks. To be honest, I am still very scared. We were suppose to travel to a city in Europe and I have refused to go because of the recent attacks. Sad isn’t?
