The pretty actress – Léa Seydoux is the cover girl for ELLE UK June 2016 issue and she is loving fantastic on the cover. This beauty bares it all in her interview with the magazine. She talks about sexism in the film industry, her own sexuality, suffering from depression, and the impact of the recent Paris attacks on her life.

I love what she has on in all the pictures. I am currently reading this issue, and I am loving it so far. The fact that she talks about major issues that many will shy away from talking about, is an instant turn on for me. I like a deep woman. Here is a quote from an interview with ELLE UK:

On The Paris Attacks

‘We were a few metres from where it happened. It was very strange…I stayed in my house for a week and I didn’t go out. I was obsessed by the news… I was just very sad. And it was like a big giant depression all over Paris and everybody was talking about this, obsessed with it. And for me, I mean, I don’t think I’m scared of terrorism. I don’t want to lose my freedom because of that. I want to still live like normal. But even me, I was paranoid for a few weeks.’

I can kind of relate with what she has said. I was nowhere near Paris when the attacks happened but I remember being so very scared, and worried sick about the attacks. To be honest, I am still very scared. We were suppose to travel to a city in Europe and I have refused to go because of the recent attacks. Sad isn’t?

Jourdan Dunn Covers ELLE UK April 2016

Jourdan-Main-cover-April_preview_1

Jourdan Dunn is on the cover of ELLE UK April 2016 issue and she looks amazing on it.I am loving the old school vibes I am feeling from this cover. Jourdan is one woman I truly admire. She had a rough time growing up so quickly, being a mother at a young age but she didn’t let any of that stop from her aiming for the top.

She is one of the highest paid supermodels in the world today. She earned her spot on the Forbes list after earning a whooping £2.4 million in 2014, and she is not relaxing anytime soon. This 25-year-old beauty is one of the most recognisable faces in the UK, with her very lucrative Maybelline contract and campaigns for Burberry, Balmain and H&M under her belt, and that is not all. This smart young woman is launching a children’s wear range with Marks & Spencer and Fluid World called Lil Londunn, and the range will  consist of 22 adorably edgy boy’s and girl’s separates. I am looking forward to Lil Londunn’s launch so I can go shop for my twins. I am sure anything she touches will be top quality.

In this issue, Jourdan talks about Twitter regret, diversity on the runway, the pressures of being a young mother, and her huge plans for building a brand. I have not read anything about her in a bit, so I will be popping to the shops, to get a copy of this issue. At £4.40, my budget will be hit, but I will class this as a ‘business expense’, lol.

Here are some excerpts from her interview with ELLE Magazine UK:

Jourdan on diversity in fashion:

‘There are definitely a lot more girls of colour being represented. But I also feel like we’re 100% still not there. I want to see us get to a place where seeing a black girl, anywhere, is not such a big deal. Why can’t it just be the norm to see black models in campaigns and on covers and runways? It’s still too much of a big thing when this happens.’

I agree. There are definitely more girls of colour on the runaways, billboards and campaign ads, but there is still a lot more to be done. The diversity issue still needs addressing, from where I am sitting. I would like to see more black girls on the runaways, billboards and in campaign ads. There is still a lot of room for improvement as far as diversity in fashion is concerned. Do you agree?

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend.

Karlie Kloss Covers Elle UK March 2016

MAIN_KARLIE

I am loving this March 2016 cover of Elle UK featuring American model and tech entrepreneur, Karlie Kloss, photographed by Kai Z Feng. It is proper bright and colourful, and that Louis Vuitton jacket is giving me life right now. Just what I need to look at on a gloomy winter day. Karlie Kloss looks fierce on the cover. Her look kind of reminds me of David Bowie, bless his soul. Guess she was channeling him with this look, and I think she nailed the look she was going for.

The colours on this cover caught my eye on the newsstands, and I found myself grabbing one. Overall, I enjoy reading Elle. I find most of the articles quite interesting and I am sure this would be a good read as well. I have a copy with me, just need to find the time to actually read. I should do so hopefully this weekend.

I am guessing this issue will focus on her business venture, and I am so interested in reading more about that. I am always eager to go into the minds of successful entrepreneurs, so having Karlie Kloss on the cover was a no brainer for me. I knew I had to have it.

For a price tag of £4.10, I can understand why many won’t bother buying this magazine issue. I find Elle quite pricey myself so I tend to buy only few and select issues I am very interested in. I can do quite a lot with £4.10, so splashing that on a magazine every month won’t be sensible. Besides I hardly have space for myself in my house these days, so hoarding magazines wont be smart, lol.

This cover is definitely the best Elle UK magazine cover I have seen this year. Do you agree? Share your thoughts.
