4 Fashion Trends to Try Out this Autumn
The Denim Shirt

It is always nice to see fashion trends being recycled. I remember being a huge fan of denim pieces growing up. It was a hit back in the day and the fashion trend is back this autumn with a bang! I have a few denim shirts in my wardrobe already and I am so looking forward to styling them up this autumn. Denim shirts like other denim pieces are easy to style. I like to pair mine with a pair of jeggings/leggings and comfy sneakers. How do you style yours?

The Fringe Jacket

If you love your fringe pieces and accessories, you would be pleased to know that the fringe jacket is going to be trendy this autumn season. Expect to see beautiful fringe clothing and accessories in the stores. The fringe jacket in particular would be a hit in autumn. I find them very stylish and flattering. Are you a fan?

The Denim Midi Skirt

Back to the denim trend, denim midi skirts are back in vogue this autumn season. This is another hit from the past. I remember styling loads of denim midi skirts going up. Denim midi skirts are figure flattering and very easy to style just the denim shirt. If you are a fan of denim pieces, this autumn season would be a fashion playground for you. There are loads of options available on the high street and in designer stores as well which is fab. Denim is definitely trendy this autumn so this season is great for styling your denim pieces.

Floral and Paisley Prints

This is one fashion trend I am looking forward to exploring this autumn. I have only a couple of floral and paisley print clothing but that is going to change this season. I will be investing in more flattering dresses, and floral and paisley prints are now on my fashion radar.

What do you think of these autumn fashion trends? Is there any trend, in particular, you are looking forward to trying?

Autumn Fashion Wardrobe Essentials

*Collaborative post.

Autumn is here at last and I am really enjoying styling my autumn/winter pieces. The summer felt really long, I am glad that is over now. Although, it has been a bit cold here in Cheshire, I like the fact that I can start layering up! Autumn fashion is one of my favourites. You can get away with layering and showing a bit of skin at the same time. It is like the best of both worlds. I recently came across Katch Me; an online boutique store, and I am seriously loving the stylish autumn pieces on the website. Plus the online boutique offers next day delivery and many items are currently on sale as I type. This is the best time to grab a few items for the new season if you have any spaces to fill in your autumn/winter wardrobe.

Life After Lockdown: Fashion Trends To Embrace Now

*Collaborative post.

Many of us have spent the last few months alternating between pyjamas and joggers. Now, with lockdown measures easing and life slowly beginning to return to something that bears a resemblance to normality, it’s time to look forward to being more adventurous. While it may not be possible to dress up for parties or hit the clubs for a while, most of us are looking forward to getting out and about a little more. With autumn fast approaching, what better time to try out some new looks? Here are some of the hottest seasonal trends to freshen up your wardrobe.

Capes

Capes are brilliant for autumn because we often find ourselves trying to dress for four seasons in one day. With a cape, you can throw it over your shoulders if you get a little chilly and remove it if the sun decides to make an appearance. Capes are chic, and they’re an excellent way to dress up casual or understated outfits if you’re going from work to a restaurant, or you’re looking for something that ticks the smart casual box. To maximise style points, opt for a cape in gold, red, black, or camel. These shades are everywhere this autumn.

Androgenous styling

If you’re a fan of stealing your partner’s hoodies, or you live for smart tailoring, you’re in luck. Androgenous styling is huge this autumn, and there’s a raft of looks to choose from. You can go big and baggy with oversized cardigans, men’s shirts, and loose-fit trousers, or embrace a sharper, more structured look with tailored suits and slim-fit pea coats. If you’re keen to mix and match, or you don’t want to go the whole hog, you can add feminine touches or alter the shape of oversized pieces with printed bags and boots, belts, and delicate jewellery.

Volume

This season, it’s time to turn up the volume and embrace big sleeves and bold hemlines. Balloon sleeves were spotted all over the autumn/winter catwalks, and there has also been an influx of dresses and skirts with puffball shapes, layering, and tiers. If you’re going for standout sleeves on the top, you might prefer to keep it simple on the bottom, but if you’re feeling brave, you can wear voluminous tops and bottoms together. Adding volume to one part of the body is a great way to balance hips, shoulders and waistlines and showcase curves.

Checks

Checks never go out of fashion, and they’re a staple of the autumn wardrobe. This year, patterns such as houndstooth, wintry ginghams, and tartan are popular. The brilliant thing about checks is that you can be as daring as you like. You can put different prints together, you can embrace the trend with a statement piece, for example, a coat or a trouser or skirt suit, or you can add subtle touches through details like bags, shoes, tights, or scarves.
