Zoe Saldana Covers Glamour UK August 2016

Glamour-Aug16-cover-b_640x960

The beautiful and talented Zoe Saldana, my fellow twin mama, is on the cover of Glamour Magazine UK August 2016 issue. I almost didn’t recognise her on the cover. She looks very different, in a good way. I guess it is that motherhood glow everyone talks about.

I really like this Glamour Magazine cover. I love Zoe’s hair and makeup. Her pose and outfit are right up my street as well. It is a different kind of cover, but different in a good way.

I am a Glamour fan normally so I know for a fact that I will be buying and reading this issue. I want to catch up on Zoe. I have not seen or heard much from her since she became a mum. I can’t believe she will be turning 40, she can pass for a 20-year-old easily. I hope I look half as good as she does when I turn 40.

In her interview with Glamour, Zoe Saldana talks motherhood, marriage, her new movie – Star Trek Beyond  and about Idris Elba being the next James Bond:

“I think Idris should have been Bond a long time ago, and if the people behind Bond are not capable of evolving, then I really hope that the whole franchise passes on to new, fresher, younger and more intelligent hands: people who are able to make better decisions for James Bond.”

I would love to see Idris Elba as the next James Bond. I mean who wouldn’t? I think he will make an excellent Bond but lets wait and see.

The other features on the cover also look interesting, especially the 397 Holiday Style + Beauty Tips To Love. That article sounds promising.

I can’t wait to get my hands on this issue.

Do you have one already? What do you think of Idris Elba as the next James Bond? Are you a fan of Zoe Saldana?

Naomie Harris Covers Glamour Magazine UK July 2016 Issue

Naomie Harris Image

I am very pleased to see the beautiful and talented Naomie Harris on 1 of the covers of Glamour Magazine UK July issue. This month, there are 4 different Glamour covers, with different stars each. Elizabeth Banks, Reese Witherspoon, James Norton, and my home girl – Naomie Harris.  I have always admired Naomie, so I am only interested in discussing her cover.

I love her sense of style. This 39-year-old beautiful woman nails her look every time she steps out of her house, and she looks at least ten years younger. I would love to look like her when I grow up. Naomi Harris is really the ‘Bond Girl who kicks butt’.

However, I am not a huge fan of what Naomie has on here. I don’t quite understand the piece, but she still slays.

I have had my eye on Naomie Harris for years now. I loved her in Blood and Oil; a TV series shot in Africa, focusing on the natural resources palaver we have going on in Nigeria. I also loved her in Skyfall; She was the first black Bond Moneypenny, and also the first character to be given a first name – Eve. I adored her in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. I am happy to see her career soaring.

I am clearly getting a copy of this issue. I would like to read more about Naomie. She is a strong black woman and she inspires me. I would also love to read ‘The Women of the Year’ feature too. I read that every year now and it is always a good read. The other features look like they would be interesting as well, so this July issue is looking fantastic all round.

The only thing I would change on this cover is the cover, lol. Naomie looks beautiful but like I said, I don’t like what she has on, and the cover  looks a bit dull in general. I would have loved to see her rocking a more colourful piece on a white background. It is only summer for a few weeks in a year, and that is if we are lucky, so why Glamour won’t want to make the most of a colourful cover, I do not know.

What do you think?

Alexa Chung Covers Glamour Magazine UK April 2016

GLAMOUR-April16-cover-24feb16-pr_b_640x960

This cover is all shades of amazing, like really. Glamour got this April 2016 cover so right this time. The lovely Alexa Chung is the cover girl for this issue, and she looks divine on it. I am loving the pink background, it is so girly and pretty. Her green Gucci bomber jacket is so stylish, and the Fishnet tights, she has on, is sure to catch any eye. Underneath she has on an Archive by Alexa knit, a piece from her new 31-piece collection with M&S.

I have always been interested in Alexa Chung. I find her very fascinating, so I am eager to get my hands on this issue. Alexa Chung is like a fashion goddess, she knows her onions as far as style is concerned and I envy her wardrobe. I wish I could take a sneak peek into her wardrobe, I am sure I will be mesmerized.

In this issue, Alexa talks about the struggles of dating, what she really thinks about Donald Trump, and the irony of being labelled a style icon. I find it funny that she does not see herself as stylish. I guess that is what I find interesting about her, she doesn’t see what we see.

Enough of Alexa now, I am also very interested in reading about Ella Woodward, the blogger behind the very successful blog – Deliciously Ella. She is also the author of the fastest-selling cookbook debut of all time. Ella invited GLAMOUR Associate editor – James around to her West London kitchen to cook up an easy, week night supper that literally takes a couple of minutes. I am certain the thousands of food bloggers out there will be grabbing a copy of this issue. I like to know what makes successful people tick, as you know by now, so buying this issue is a no brainer really.

Will you be buying a copy of this issue? Sound off in the comments section please.

Thanks for reading.
