Like with every essential oil, you have to be cautious when handling this oil. A few drops are all you would need at a time. I usually put in 4/5 drops in my bath water or diffuser and that is more than enough.

Creating Facial Moisturiser with Essential Oils

I recently fell in love with essential oils and I forever playing with different blends. Essential Oils are so multitasking, I use them in many different ways. Like I said in one of my recent posts, I am moving towards the vegetarian/vegan way of life with my diet and I also want to ensure all the products are use are natural and cruelty-free. Creating my own facial moisturiser with essential oils is one way of ensuring my skincare products include natural and cruelty-free ingredients. I have been playing around with various recipes and I am still perfecting the facial moisturiser.

I have noticed that many of the products that claim to be natural still include chemicals in them. This is one of the reasons why I am determined to keep on creating my own hair and skin products to be sure I am happy with all the ingredients. Another reason why I am now creating my own facial moisturizer is that I have noticed my skin breaks out a lot these days, and I am not sure why. Creating my own facial moisturiser will allow me to put in the right ingredients to help get rid of spots and stop the breakouts.

Creating Facial Moisturiser with Essential Oils

The base carrier I like using for my facial moisturiser is grapeseed oil. It is a great oil for normal skin and acne-prone skin too. I like to include a few drops of lavender essential oil into the grapeseed carrier oil to create a facial moisturiser. It works great every time. Lavender essential oil is a great oil for normal and acne-prone skin. It can also be used on other skin types. If you are looking at experimenting with essential oils, I recommend you try the lavender oil first. It is such an amazing oil and can be used in a variety of ways.

I like mixing in one carrier oil and one essential oil at a time to see which blends work well for my skin. Mixing in different oils at the same time will be tricky as you won’t know for sure which oil is doing what. Creating your own facial moisturiser with essential oils is easy if you have the time and if you have an interest in oils.
