The lovely 18-year-old Elle Fanning is the cover girl for ELLE UK February 2017, and she looks beautiful.

I love how colourful the cover is. Her hair and makeup is on point (love the red lippie), and her blue outfit is very stylish. I really can’t fault this cover. ELLE ticked all the right magazine cover boxes.

I read a few excerpts from Elle Fanning’s interview with ELLE, and it sounds like it would be a great read. Here are some of them:

Limiting her social media presence

‘I recently turned my Instagram public on my 18th birthday, but I still don’t post everything I do, and I’m not on Twitter or Facebook. You have to leave a little mystery. With old movie stars, all you saw were rare interviews where they only shared what they wanted to – that’s what made them so interesting. You could separate the characters from the women, so if you watch them on-screen you’re not thinking about what they had for breakfast.’

I am impressed to see she is not as social media crazy as the rest of her peers. The deal with social media is to run it and not let it run you. She sounds like a smart young lady.

The power of silence

‘I’ve just finished shooting with Sofia Coppola and she’s one of the quietest people ever, but there’s a real power to her silence. When she just stares at you from across a take, you know you need to get the shot.’

I agree, there is real power in silence.

I would love to read this issue. I don’t see myself buying it, but I would grab it if I see it lying around in a waiting room for example.

What do you think of this issue? Will you be buying? Drop me a comment, let’s talk.

I am a huge fan of Emma Willis. I love her hair, she is one of the few women I know that looks amazingly good rocking a short hair. She also has great style and carriage. I enjoy watching her hosting the Celebrity Big Brother show. She is one of the reasons why I watch the show.

I am yet to read this issue but I am definitely going to grab a copy once I spot one. Emma’s interview and other features sound very juicy.

I would love to know more about Emma. She is one of those women I admire and like but don’t much about. I see her as a very private person, so this issue is a good way to get to know a bit more about the biggest female presenter in the UK.

In her interview with Cosmopolitan, Willis opened up about her career – the initial struggles and her current presenting gigs, her relationship with her husband – Matt, and everything else in between.

On the secret to her 12 years relationship with Matt:

“We like each other,” says Emma. “We have a lot of fun and neither of us thinks of ourselves as grown-ups. We’re also both working class people who are like, ‘Sh*t, this is good, we’ve done alright.’ He keeps me young and I keep him sensible.”

Awww, love the sound of their relationship.

On landing the Big Brother presenting gig:

“I didn’t audition,” she says. “When my agent called to tell me I’d been offered it, I was like, ‘What? Are you sure they’ve got the right Emma? Did they mean Emma Forbes because I’ve never even met them?'”

I find this so inspiring. Hard work does pay off eventually.

What do you think of Emma Willis on the cover of Cosmo?

Michelle Williams Covers ELLE Magazine January 2017

The lovely Michelle Williams is on the cover of ELLE Magazine January 2017 issue and she looks good. I remember seeing Michelle Williams for the first time on the TV series – Dawson’s Creek, I have followed her acting career since then and although she has gone quiet in the last few years, she is definitely a talented actress.

Here are a few excerpts from her interview with ELLE Magazine –

Being open but setting boundaries

“It’s not naturally my inclination to be a boundary draw-er,” she says, shutting her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose. “I’m like, ‘Open up all the doors and the windows and let everybody in.’ That’s the aim of my work, too.” But this isn’t acting. “It’s been a really, really long time since I’ve been in an interview. But I have better boundaries now. I feel less susceptible to emotional wreck-diving to come up with explanations for everything.”

This quote explains why I have seen and heard little about her in the last few years. I can see what she means. Being open and having boundaries can be tricky but boundaries are needed for a normal sane life.

Tabloids and having an authentic life

“If you feel like people are watching you, it’s impossible to have an authentic experience of being alive,” Williams says. “There’s a performative aspect and a guardedness, and that’s just death. I don’t know how to live like that, and I don’t know how to give a life to my child like that.”

I can never understand how these celebs cope with the press all up in their business every time. It must be very hard for many.

I think this picture right here is so beautiful. The hair, makeup and pose is just perfect. I love me some Michelle Williams anytime.
