I have used all the Original Source Shower Gels, and I do love every one of them, but these three right here are my favourites – Lavender & Tea Tree, Vanilla & Raspberry and Lemon. I am also very fond of the Mango Shower Gel, but didn’t get to photograph it.

Here is the product description –

Original Source is made with natural plant extracts and authentic fragrances found from all aspects of nature.

Here are my thoughts –

  1. 100% natural fragrance.
  2. Tested on humans, and not animals.
  3. Very affordable at £1 each.
  4. Easily accessible at Boots, Asda, Superdrug, Morrisons, and many other stores.
  5. They all smell amazingly good, and lather quickly.
  6. I love the simple packaging.
  7. Feels great on my skin, and leaves it feeling clean and soft.

CONS

None.

I can’t fault this Original Source Shower Gels. They are the real deal, and there is a flavour for everyone, I think there are about 13 flavours available. I will be buying these again for sure.

The Boots Botanics Refreshing Eye Roll is another product I have been using recently. Here is the product description:

This lightweight gel is quickly absorbed to help reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness.

The fragile under eye area feels immediately cooled and refreshed, while hyaluronic acid provides much needed hydration to dull, delicate skin.

Hibiscus is nature’s brightness booster and a wonderful hue of pink.

Natural AHA’s from the flower act as mild exfoliators to help leave skin smoother and brighter.

Here are my thoughts –

PROS

  1. It feels great on my skin. It calms the eye area.
  2. It is nicely packaged, and easy to carry around.
  3. It is quite affordable at £4.37 for a 15ml tube.
  4. It is tested on humans, and not animals.

CONS

  1. I am unsure about this product. I have not noticed any major difference in my eye are.

It does relax my eye area, so I may buy it again but I am still unsure about it.

Product Review: Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner

IMG_3431

When I got an email offering me a chance to review the Rug Doctor’s latest product – Portable Spot Cleaner, I took the offer with both hands. We regularly rent the Rug Doctor Machine to deep clean the carpets every now and again, so this was a golden opportunity. We have a cream carpets all over the house, and with two busy toddlers and a blogger that is forever testing various samples and staining the carpets, we cannot afford not to clean our carpets regularly. So you can imagine how excited I was to try out this new machine.

The Rug Doctor Portable Spot Cleaner was sent along with the following products:

Rug Doctor Portable Machine Spot Cleaner

High Foot Traffic Cleaner

Rug Doctor Oxy Cleaner

Here are my thoughts:

  1. It does the job. Most of stains and spots on our carpets are gone.
  2. It is very portable; the luggage style handle and carpet friendly wheels means it is quite easy to move around, this is particularly great when cleaning the staircases.
  3. The machine is readily available to buy from Rug Doctor, Tesco, Morrisons, Argos, B&Q, and other stores.
  4. It is cheaper and more convenient than hiring professionals to do the clean. You can grab yours at £154.99.

CONS

  1. We couldn’t clean the carpets in an upright position, like how you would vacuum, we had to bend down all through the cleaning.

Overall, I will recommend the Rug Doctor Portable Spot Removal Cleaner to anyone whose carpet is needing a bit of TLC, and a good clean. It is perfect for busy families with children and pets. It is a handy machine to have around.
