March 2017 Outfits

Hey peeps! Happy new week and month. Welcome to April, I hope it is good to every one of us.

How was your March? It was a slow month for me in every aspect, so I didn’t get around to take as many outfit photos as I would have wanted. I am hoping to change that this month of April, but for now, say hello to March 2017 outfits.

OOTD: Calling the Shots

I really enjoyed styling this look, and I was super happy with the final look. It was a beautiful sunny March day, and I made the most of sunshine. Plus all the pieces fell in the right places, which was great. I didn’t even have to think it through.

The star of this look would have to be the tan boots, they got everyone’s attention. This is one look I know I will be styling again, it is so me, and I adore it.

OOTD: One Spring Day

This is my other look from March. Like the previous look, it was easy to style and was very popular with the readers.

The highlight of this outfit has to be the little black dress with the floral sleeves. I love how simple and chic it looks. I will definitely be rocking the hell of this little black dress this season.

I am looking forward to making the most of the spring and summer season, and photographing as many outfit photos as possible, crossing my fingers and toes. Wish me luck!

Which outfit do you prefer? Calling the Shots or One Spring Day? I preferred the first look – Calling the Shots. I love the beautiful blend of tan and black. What do you think? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Thanks for reading, sharing and commenting. Have a lovely week.

Christian Dior Vintage Crystal Earrings

I have slowly fallen in love with shopping vintage, and I must say, I am loving it. Digging out stylish rare gems is now my new best thing, and I really enjoy styling them as well.

I recently came across an online store – Rock my Vintage, which has quickly became my online spot for all things vintage. Rock my Vintage stocks original and inspired vintage dresses and accessories, at amazing prices, so it is worth having a look at this website if you are into vintage pieces and accessories.

I was on the hunt for some stunning vintage jewellery as a twinkling treat for myself (Yes I like to get myself presents regularly), so I went browsing on the website. There were so many options with a varied price range, so it took me some time to make up my mind, but I finally settled on this gorgeous Christian Dior Crystal Vintage Earrings, and I am glad I did.

I am head over heels in love with the sparkly earrings. I have never had a Christian Dior jewellery before, so it feels good to rock these super sparkly beauties.

These 1980s diamante clip on earrings by Christian Dior feature a curved crossover design with a double row of crystals for maximum shine. All of the original crystals are intact and are in a gold setting. The hinge fastening is marked with ‘Chr. Dior Germany’ and these earrings measure 2cm. Condition – Excellent.

I am saving the earrings for special occasions only, when I need to ooze some 80s glamour. But if I was to style the earrings for a regular day, I would probably match it with a nice stylish vintage inspired dress like the beauty below.

This 1940s vintage inspired Faye Floral Midi Shirt Dress from Sugarhill Boutique, would look amazing this spring, styled with the vintage Christian Dior Crystal Earrings and a black pair of sandals.

I love shirt dresses; they are very comfortable, easy to style and flatter most shapes. What is there not to like?

What do you think of both items? Are you a vintage fan?

Style Icon – Michelle Dede

Michelle Dede – the Nigerian freelance television presenter and actress has always been my Style Icon. I have admired her style for as long as I have known her; I remember spotting her presenting Big Brother Nigeria many moons ago, and thinking she was (and still is) the definition of Stylish.

Michelle Dede always looks effortlessly chic. She makes dressing up look fun and easy, like it should be, and that is what I love most about her style. This Style Icon inspires my style goals, and I am not surprised she has such an impeccable style. As a graduate of fashion design and fashion merchandising, I can see where her love for fashion and style comes from.

In an interview with In Her Closet, Dede describes her style as Eclectic, and says her love for fashion became official while studying in London.

My sense of style is eclectic. I dress based on my mood each day, taking inspiration from broad and diverse sources. I’ve always been interested in fashion, as a kid and in my teens in high-school, I experimented mixing and matching my clothes, to the amusement of my parents and older siblings.

I studied fashion design & fashion merchandising in university, so I was surrounded by fashion as well as gravitated towards all things fashion related. London is the home of unique, edgy, unconventional fashion which I love.

I agree, I think London is one of the greatest fashion cities in the world!

She has shared some style tips.

Wear shoes you like, not what’s fashionable or what your friends think you should wear.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour, style is individual, so if you want to wear red shoes with a canary yellow outfit, do it!

I agree with her tips, style is individual.

What do you think of Michelle Dede as a Style Icon? Are you a fan of her style? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Thank you.
