Photographed by Liz Collins, styled by Anne-Marie Curtis, Amy Adams wears Balenciaga.

The beautiful and talented Amy Adams is on the cover of ELLE UK November 2016 and she looks so cute. I love the cover. She looks so relaxed and pretty, like a typical girl next door, and I love it. I also love the fact that she is channeling her autumn style in Balenciaga. Loving the autumn vibes.

This issue promises to be a good read. In her interview with ELLE UK, Amy discusses her struggles to balance family and work, being compared to other women in Hollywood, the issue with the pay gap and being over 40 in a competitive industry.

‘The negotiation comes to a standstill and I have to make a choice, which a lot of women do. I can walk away. But I choose not to…This is an issue not just about women’s pay; we need to work on how women are viewed in society and then the pay will be reflected in that…Right now time is more important to me. So that’s what I negotiate because any time I’m working, I’m not spending with my daughter.’

‘I gave up wanting to look like Charlize when I was, like, 12. I have short legs, I’m athletic, I have pale skin that reacts to cold and hot moisture. You just have to accept who you are. In those comparisons, I always lost.’

This five-time Oscar nominee is also the star of Tom Ford’s new film Nocturnal Animals and Sci-Fi drama Arrival, both of which are garnering five-star reviews and Oscar buzz at the moment.

I would love to read this issue. I can see myself grabbing a copy. I have always liked Amy Adams. I find her very interesting so I would naturally want to know more about her. The price usually puts me off but I have been feeling generous lately so I may get this.

What do you think of this issue? Are you a fan of Amy Adams?

Nicole Scherzinger Covers Glamour Magazine UK November 2016

nicole-scherzinger-glamour-uk-november-2016-2

The beautiful Nicole Scherzinger is the cover girl for Glamour Magazine UK November 2016, and she looks stunning as always. I love her pose, pretty makeup and stylish Victoria Beckham ensemble. I really like this cover, kudos to Glamour for getting this right.

I am a huge fan of Nicole Scherzinger. I think she looks amazing for her age; very beautiful and very talented, and I like a woman with beauty and brains. I was surprised to hear she is back on X Factor UK, but I guess Simon Cowell realised his mistake and got her back on the show. I wish I was still interested in X Factor UK (or any music competition show), but I am not. I have had zero interest for about 3 years now and I think it is because my favourite person never wins and when they do win, they just stop singing after some years. Say hello to Leona Lewis and Alexander Burke to name a few…

But back to this gorgeous Glamour Magazine cover, I like the sound of the features on the cover as well. The “503 looks win at getting dressed every day” sounds like a fab read, and so does the “10 things we all worry about and how we can stop”. As a worrier, it is good to know I am not alone in my constant worrying.

In this issue, Nicole opens up on her new relationship with pro tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, her new working relationship with Simon Cowell and so much more. Here are some excerpts from the interview with Glamour:

On her relationship with her new man –

“I am happy. I’m in a really good, solid, more balanced place in my life. I’ve grown a lot as a woman.”

“My grandma always used to say, to find the person you wanna marry, you have to find the person you wanna work on your relationship with for the rest of your life. That’s the key word: work.”

I agree with this saying, good relationships are hard work, and will always be, so it makes sense to be with someone who makes you want to work on the relationship…

On her new working relationship with Simon Cowell –

“He’s changed. He’s on the soft side. I find myself agreeing with him… that’s not normal.  [Simon’s son] Eric is so sweet, he speaks such proper English it cracks me up. I feel like his IQ is higher than mine. It’s great to see Simon so happy.”

Gwen Stefani Covers Cosmopolitan Magazine UK October 2016

cosmopolitan-uk-magazine-october-2016-gwen-stefani

Gwen Stefani is on the cover of Cosmopolitan Magazine UK October 2016 issue and I am loving it. I am a HUGE fan of Gwen Stefani. I have kept her on my radar since her ‘No Doubt’ days and I am completely in awe of her ageless beauty. Who would believe this beauty is 46 years old. She could easily pass for a 30-year-old! I pray I look half as good as she does when I am her age.

I have a copy of this issue already and I am loving it so far. I am yet to get to her interview pages, but I know it is going to be a good read. I was shocked to hear about her divorce from Gavin Rossdale but I am happy to see she has moved on from it and seems to be in a good place. Her relationship with her new man – Blake Shelton seems to be heading in the right direction too. Here are some excerpts from her interview with Cosmopolitan:

On looking pretty tight with Blake Shelton during her second season on the show: “We were laughing our heads off when we saw the blind auditions. I love NBC, but they for sure edited stuff to look like we were flirting. They chose to run with that story before anything was even real. I hardly knew him. But it was like it was in the air — happening before it happened.”

On writing a song with Blake, which she never did with Gavin: “…We were both having trust issues, as you would if you were us. It was like, I have so many problems. How can I now be getting into another potentially huge problem? What am I doing? Blake wrote the song and sent it to me. He was like, ‘Help me finish it.’ I wrote a verse and sent it to him, but he was gone because he doesn’t live in L.A. He didn’t have Wi-Fi, so he wasn’t answering me back! As soon as he came back to town, he brought his guitar over. We were like, ‘We wrote a song together! This is crazy!'”
