OOTD: One Spring Day

I am loving the cool spring weather at the moment. The weather is no longer painfully cold, so my bare legs are out for as long as possible. How are you enjoying spring? Has spring sprung where you are at?

I love wearing dresses in the spring/summer months, I guess that is due to the fact that I have been stuck in heavy coats, jeans and tights all through winter. I find dresses comfortable and easy to style.

Take this black dress I have on for example; all I had to do was to throw on a few accessories and I was good to go. That is the beauty of a little black dress, it never goes out of style, and it is dead easy to dress up.

This black embroidery smock dress is a new wardrobe addition; I got it some few weeks ago. I love the floral embroidery detail a lot. It is a perfect piece, and it is great for transitioning from winter to spring (just pop on a blazer and a pair of tights if you need one), and from day-to-night (with a change of accessories).

“I’ve always thought of accessories as the exclamation point of a woman’s outfit.” -Michael Kors.

I saw this quote online some days ago and it hit the nail on the head, with regards to the major role accessories play in an overall look. I think accessories are very important; they determine how good or bad an outfit would turn out, so I like to pay my accessories special attention, even more than my pieces.

OOTD: A Beaded Black Dress

Hey peoples, how are we? I am starting to feel slightly human now (been down with a flu), and slowly getting back to work, which is amazing. I hardly fall ill, I can’t remember the last time I have felt this way. So this experience has made me appreciate the little things in life, which is great.

I took these outfit shots on New Year’s Day. The weather was freezing cold but clear so it was a good day for photos.

I am finally back into the outfit mood now which is great. I kind of lost my mojo towards the end of last year for some weird reason. So it feels good to be back in the game. I have a few outfit posts lined up for the next few weeks and I can’t wait to show them off.

I found this outfit perfect for New Year’s Day. The MARYANA Black Beaded Caplet dress is a delicate beauty. It is more than a little black dress. The beaded detail takes the dress to a whole new level. It is currently one of my favourite dresses.

I also found it super easy to style with a pair of boots, tights and blazer. All the pieces and accessories fell into place easily.

I think every woman should have at least 3 pairs of black dresses in her wardrobe for each season. They come in so handy. Little black dresses are super easy to style and they usually look great. It makes sense to have them in different styles and designs to help create different looks.

OOTD: Style My Dress

Style a Dress Challenge

Hey guys. I hope you all enjoyed the Easter holidays, I know I did. I had a long chilled weekend with the family, and I didn’t want the bank holiday to be over. I am looking forward to the next bank holiday already, lol.

Today, I bring to you an outfit post, dedicated to House of Fraser’s #stylemydress challenge. This challenge is all about dresses. Basically, different UK fashion bloggers, styling the same Vero Moda boxy mini dress, in either black or grey, and an additional ‘secret’ accessory (I got a hat), and publishing our various outfit posts around the same time.

This is my first Vero Moda piece, and I love it. I have lusted after, and written so many blog posts about the Vero Moda collection, so having a dress by the designer is great. I went for a black pair as you can see, and I am glad I did. I found it so easy to style the piece. I love the loose fit, perfect for the upcoming summer months.

I really wanted to rock this piece with my bare legs but it was way too windy for that, and I didn’t want to risk flashing anyone while running around the retail park picking up bits and bobs, so I styled my dress with my leather pants, better safe, than sorry right?

However I am looking forward to rocking this piece on holiday, somewhere nice and warm, and at home as well, when the weather is warm and still, there is a lot of wind at the moment. What I love most about this dress is how versatile and affordable it is. You can grab this beauty for £14 only, and it is a great dress to wear for the entire year, once you layer up and down according.
