You may feel limited by the options that are available for accessories. You can wear snazzy shoes or grab a scarf that works with your outfit, but you might feel like you still need something else to really set off your style. These five hats for women will transform your day-to-day wardrobe.
Pork Pie
Although the pork pie hat became popular with women in the 1800s, Buster Keaton made this hat type trendy for men in the 1920s.
Today, it adds vintage appeal to a modern sensibility. The pork pie hat is often worn by hipsters who want to give off an intellectual vibe. You might wear it with a leather jacket and fancy shoes when hit up the jazz club.
If you wear it with contemporary clothing, you can’t go wrong. Give a nod to its heyday by wearing it with a vest or bow tie.
Trilby
The Trilby hat has a deeper crown than the pork pie. Whereas both styles have a rounded indentation at the top, the Trilby is also creased up the front.
If you’re already feeling stylish, pop the Trilby on to turn heads. This hat is often worn tilted toward the back of the crown. Because it has a narrow brim, it’s a little less practical than the fedora. You might not keep the sun out of your eyes, but you’ll look spectacular.
Flat Cap
If you’re just getting into the hat craze, you might be more comfortable in a flat cap than in some of the other hat styles. It has a more subtle silhouette than a hat with a brim that goes all the way around it. It can also be tucked in your bag when you’re not wearing it.
Try swapping out your knitted winter hat for a flat cap this year. Wool and felt versions will keep your head just as warm. You won’t flatten your hairstyle, and you’ll look incredibly sharp.
Fedora
Fedoras have become popular accessories for women in the past few years.
If you’re an adventurer and a risk-taker, the fedora is for you. It’s a little bolder than the other hat styles that we’ve mentioned, and it makes you look a little mysterious.
The fedora is classic and timeless. It can be worn with just about anything. Dress up your jeans and t-shirts with felt fedora.
Bowler
Before the fedora made a name for itself in fashion history, the bowler was the go-to men’s hat style. It features a rounded crown and narrow, turned-up brim. While it might not protect your head as well as a wide-brim hat, it’s streamlined and easy to wear.
Nowadays, the bowler is often associated with eccentric elegance. It’s the perfect accessory to wear with a striped suit, a leather jacket or a trench coat. Tilt it toward the back for a rebellious look.
The bowler brings to mind iconic characters, such as Liza Minelli in “Cabaret” or Alex in “A Clockwork Orange.” When you wear it, you’ll be just as memorable.
What do you think of these hat styles? Which is your favourite?

Well as you know I wear hats very often and my most used would have to be the 70’s style floppy hat! Although at one point I would wear the pork pie hat and the fedora as well! x
Yea I know. Hats suit you a lot.
These caps are very good looking! I am gonna try fedora for me!
Oh great choice.
I love the floppy hat in summer and a knitted beanie in the winter.
Oh cool.
I love how stylish hats can make an outfit, but I always struggle with finding them to fit my head!
Yea me too.
I do like to wear a hat sometimes. I’m a bit of a fan of the beret to be honest, I think it looks really chic
I think it looks chic too.
I love the fedora hat. This is very fashionable and perfect for any kind of outfit. I hope I can be sexy like this. haha!
I do too.
I have to admit I’m not a hat person. They just don’t seem to suit me no matter what style I wear. In winter I’ll sometimes wear a wooly hat but other than that I tend to steer away from them.
Oh ok. Good you know.
The fedora one would be my go to if I have to.
Great post and TIPS
X
Ah nice. Thanks Moji xx
I love hats but I haven’t actually got any other than wolly one which I wear in the Winter. With the kids its difficult to manage lol! But hopefully as they get older I will be able to wear more x
Yea. They would likely yank it off at some point, lol.
I never wear hats, I can never find a one that suits me. x
My sis is just like that too x
I would love to wear hats, but I think I look rather silly in them. I have such a small head that none ever fit and they end up over my eyes haha!
Lol 😂
I love a good hat, I have quite a few. I think the Fedora is my favourite.
Same here Jenni.
