Thinking About Cosmetic Surgery? Consider Why You Want It First

*Collaborative post.

Almost everyone will experience some minor body-image insecurities sooner or later. Whether it’s a hereditary predisposition, the effect of trauma, or the unavoidable changes that come with ageing, some people may experience years of low self-esteem related to aesthetic problems. Unfortunately, no amount of dieting or exercise will alter their breast size, change the contour of their nose, or get rid of stubborn areas of ugly fat. A surgical operation is not suitable for everyone, despite the fact that “going under the knife” with plastic surgery may sound like the quickest and simplest approach to enhance appearance.

Even while the initial “why you want surgery” may seem obvious, actually stop and think about what is causing your uneasiness. Has your present boyfriend been pressuring you to have a more voluptuous form, or have you always wanted larger, more proportionate breasts? Have you been trying unsuccessfully to lose your “muffin top” for years at the gym? Or perhaps you’ve recently gone through a significant life event, like a divorce, breakup, or job loss, and you’re now convinced that a flatter tummy would improve your self-esteem.

Do your homework before choosing a board-certified plastic surgeon. Take your time determining the best course of action for your particular needs and financial situation. Get a second or third opinion if, following your consultation, you feel uncomfortable with the doctor or the clinic. When you are satisfied with the responses to these four important questions, you could be prepared to proceed with plastic surgery.

What You Must Know Before Commencing Your Vaping Journey

*Collaborative post.

Many people are excited to try out vaping. Some have no prior smoking experience. Some have switched to vaping from smoking cigarettes, deeming it a healthier option. Whichever category you fall in, vaping is a fabulous experience for beginners. There are many considerations and tips which beginners need to know before starting their vaping journey. Some of these guidelines have been discussed in this article.

Picking the nicotine level

The amount of nicotine you choose to use in your vape depends on your past smoking habits. E-liquids come with five separate levels of nicotine. Juices with no nicotine are also available. Some people find the right nicotine levels for them by experimenting and finding the one that suits them the most. Generally, beginners require high levels of nicotine to start off and then lower their dose over time. Some heavy vapers do not even use nicotine.

Picking the right vape mod

Some mods are referred to as cigalikes. These have ends which are non-detachable and disposable, which contains the e-juice securely. After vaping, you can discard the cigalike. This is advisable to people who wish to remain discrete while vaping. Cigalikes can cause a dent in your pocket if you are a regular vaper since you have to buy them again and again whenever you smoke. However, if you are a casual vaper, then it is feasible.

Vape pens are also an alternative for those who are vapers in the long run. They contain tanks that enable you to change e-liquids as you wish. The tanks are also replaceable and can be disposed of when you are done. Keeping separate tanks with various e-liquids is also a smart option. Vape pens can pack a punch in terms of power. This means that vapor production is not significant. However, that can be fixed with the use of something called a box mod. Vape pens can be bought from your nearest vape shop.

Inhaling the right way

Inhaling perfectly is the key to enjoying your vape to the fullest. However, if you inhale improperly, the result may be coughing, a sudden rush of nicotine, or even a sudden pain in the chest. Mouth to lung is an inhalation technique that works best with small vapes. This technique requires a high-resistance coil and high levels of nicotine. You should get the feeling of sucking through a straw when inhaling this way. Low vapor is the result while using MTL. The second technique is a direct lung draw. This should be done with bigger sized vapes, with low levels of nicotine and low-resistance coils. The inhalation technique resembles that of a bong hit and feels like sucking in the wind through a straw used in milkshakes. Vapor is produced in large quantities.

 E-liquid

Pick a good quality vape juice for your device. Select a flavor that you feel you will enjoy. There are multiple flavors to choose from, like banana and even Belgian waffles. There are even many flavors blended with tobacco to give past smokers the old taste which they left behind. Some experimental food and fruit flavors are also introduced regularly in the market. Hybrids of these flavors are also created to produce new exciting tastes.

There are two essential things to consider while vaping, which are (Propylene glycol) VG and (Propylene glycol) PG. E-liquid has either of these as its main base solution. You can choose the one depending upon your preference. PG makes your vaping experience filled with flavor, but the vapor production is low. VG has a sweetish flavor masking the original character but can produce large amounts of vapor.

Vapes come with either all VG, all PG, and some even have both of these in a fixed proportion. Most manufacturers keep the ratio of PG and VG 40:60 since this flavor is the most popular among smokers. A note of caution is that you may be allergic to PG. This can be identified if you start itching or have breathing problems after a vaping session. Then you either use pure VG juices or use PG in a minimal amount: less than 20%.

Vaping is an exciting journey and filled with hits and trials of your own. Words can only give you specific guidelines about what is best. You will discover the right mix by trying it on your own.

Taking care of your mental health during a pandemic

Our mental health can be very fragile on a regular day, so I can it imagine it being a lot more fragile during these uncertain times. There are so many things to worry about, it is almost impossible to vibrate high in the midst of the chaos and confusion going on. Taking care of your mental health during a pandemic can be tricky but it is doable.

Taking care of your mental health during a pandemic

Here are some ways you could go about making sure your mental health isn’t suffering.

Have some time to yourself

I think it is super important to have time for just yourself. That’s why I make sure I wake up at least a hour before everyone else gets up. That way I can have some quiet time just for myself. I get some more me-time later in the day. I am one of those people that thrive on alone time, so it is imperative I get everyday to feel ok. If you are like me, then you should stay on top of this and make sure you get time for just yourself even if it is just for an hour. That hour could save your mental health.

Eat and drink healthy

With this pandemic, it is important to have a healthy lifestyle with a balanced diet. Eating and drinking healthy could save you from a whole lot of health problems, so make sure you are doing this right.

Get plenty rest

Getting good night sleep and plenty of rest during the day is very important. The last thing your body and mind needs now is stress. I know it is hard to not be stressed with all what is currently happening, but it is best to stay away from stress as much as possible and get plenty of rest to keep your energy levels up.

Have a routine

Having a routine does help especially if you have young kids. I find it easier to do all I do when I have a clear routine. It is flexible but I know what I need to do every few hours and that keeps all of us focused.

Meditate

Meditation may not be for everyone but it has really kept me going. I mediate numerous times a day. My meditation sessions relax me and keep me vibrating high, which helps me stay on top of my mental health.

Exercise

I am very active and the kiddies are active as well, so we are always on the move. We still go for short daily walks and that helps. The fresh air and exercise does wonders. We also watch fitness videos on Youtube and they get us moving at home as well.

Social media and News

You don’t need to listen to News over and over again, especially if they get you anxious and fearful. I don’t listen to the news. I read up the bits I need online and I watch short clips when necessary. I have never been a fan of the Press (which is funny since I have a blog), but I know I have to stay updated with what is going on in the world, so I watch and read what I need.

Talk about it

Tell someone how you feel about the pandemic going on. Talking is therapy and I can guarantee you will start to feel better once you tell someone how you really feel. Talking makes the pandemic not so scary.

Every storm runs out of rain, so I know this too shall pass. Remember to wash your hands, obey the social distancing advice and stay safe. Have a great weekend.
