For those of you who want to know, here is my blogging story:

I started blogging because I have a passion for fashion. That sounds cliché but that is the truth. I needed an outlet to unleash my creativity. I remember going online one sweet day at work, looking for some interesting news on Bella Naija and then I kind of found myself on Fashion Bomb Daily and I fell completely in love with the site.

Fashion Bomb Daily was mainly about fashion but unlike Refinery 29 and other large fashion blogs, this had a personal touch. It was very interesting and varied, like a breath of fresh air. Fashion Bomb Daily was so different compared to other fashion blogs. The web is saturated with personal style blogs and I wanted more. I wanted to read similar blogs like Fashion Bomb Daily, where there is a bit of everything, personal style posts, beauty posts, fashion news, celebrity style posts and much more. I wanted more so I created one.

I tell everyone, Fashion and Style Police is my first child and I treat it like I treat my other children. When I started blogging, I didn’t really think anyone would be interested except my family and close friends. I just kept at it and the journey has been a bit of a roller coaster. My writing has improved, my pictures are prettier than they use to be. I look back at some of my earlier posts and I just cringe. I guess there is always room for improvement and no blogger gets it right first time. We are all a work in progress.

I am so grateful to both Bella Naija and Fashion Bomb Daily for inspiring me to start off Fashion and Style Police. This little space on the web won’t have been here without these blogs. I will always have a soft spot for them.
