My Love for Fashion Events

*Collaborative post.

My love for fashion events has been on for as long as I can remember. I remember when I initially started blogging, and the dream of attending fashion week all over the world. I was reading lots of purely fashion blogs then and they all attended these top fashion events, and I wanted to do the same so bad. The likes of E! and Rachel Zoe’s show (I love her) didn’t help as well as that was all they seem to talk about. Back then, it felt as if I had to attend these fashion shows before I could be an established fashion blogger.

In the early days of blogging, I stumbled upon a little fashion show in an Essex shopping mall and that sealed my dream for me. We were visiting family and friends and shopping in a mall in Essex. We didn’t even know there was a fashion show going on until we stumbled upon the mini stage. It was fun to watch and I even got some lovely pictures I happy to show off. I also got to see some members of the Little Mix Girl Group and Ashley Banjo from the Diversity group. Too bad I didn’t get a photo of them.

If you have been reading Fashion and Style Police since 2012, you may recognise these images.

The fashion show was in Lakeside Shopping Mall Essex and it was all about showing off the new pieces and accessories on the high street. That has been my first and only fashion show. I haven’t lost interest in attending a fashion show or going for fashion week but my enthusiasm. has reduced.  I know I will attend many fashion weeks in the future but the timing and situation has to be right. Attending Paris Fashion Week or Milan Fashion Week in a private jet charter would be so amazing. That is the goal.

I have attended many fashion events before Fashion and Style Police was born. I was a guest at the Street Style Bus Fashion Event some time ago, and that was so much fun. It is always needed to see the fashion pieces and accessories in flesh since I write about them so much. Seeing the collections before the hit the stores is also great. It makes me feel like a fashion insider.

My Winter Wish List

It is getting cold in Cheshire which is okay since I am almost ready for the Winter season. When it comes to my wardrobe for the colder months, I like to ensure I have all I need to slay in style but stay comfortable at the same time. Style and comfort go together in my fashion world, which is why I make sure I have all the fashion winter essentials. I currently have a couple of items I am yet to get on my Winter wish list. Hopefully, the sales in the shops will start soon, so I can grab everything before the chill really hits.

Many of the items on my shopping list are boots and trainers. Some of my old boots have worn out after so many years so they need replacing. I like to invest in good quality footwear because I like them to last, and if they’re also great value for money it’s a win win! This is why you won’t catch me shopping in some shops, as I’ve had to learn the hard way, and when it comes to footwear, it is quality over quantity, every time!

Here are 3 items I am currently lusting after in the footwear department –

Women’s High Biker Style Military Calf Boots With Chunky Block Heel And Lace Up Detail £32.99

I am so in love with these Calf Boots. I really like the high biker style, that’s what caught my eye. Calf length lace up boots are perfect for Winter and since I don’t have a pair like this yet, I would really love to add these to my boots collection.

It would be great styling them with a nice pair of blue jeans and a sweater. The price tag of £32.99 works for me and I like the chunky block heel too!

Women’s Faux Leather Stiletto Heel Riding Calf Boots With Zip Fastening And Pointed Toe £19.99

This pair of boots would look amazing on a night out. I can picture myself wearing these with a little black dress and tights. It can also be paired with a pair of jeans and a dressy top. The pointed toe and zip take the boots to a whole new level.

I can see this style of boots being very popular this Winter season. It is a pair that can easily take you from the office to the bar! And these are very affordable at £19.99.

High Heel Wedge Hi-Top Trainers Ankle Boots £14.99

My Winter wish list for footwear would not be complete without a pair or two of trainers. I currently have my eye on these stunning black high heel wedge hi-top trainers ankle boots. I have a pair like this already, but it is all black. So, grabbing these with a white sole would be a great addition to my trainer collection.

This pair would also come in handy for the school run, having to take two toddlers to school, and get them there on time means we must move very quickly. There is no room for heels, I admire anyone who can walk in heels, let alone run! Trainers like this would do for me thank you.

What do you think of boots and trainers? Did any catch your eye? You can grab these and more on the Uppersole website. They have footwear for men, women and children. So, you can shop footwear for the whole family in one place!

Outfit Post – Surviving the Storm

We enjoyed a few days of some glorious sunshine and warm weather. But I think we won’t be having any more of those type of days for the next few months. Last week was all about Storm Callum and we had to dig out our warm coats and welly boots to survive the storm. We here in North did not have it as bad as some other parts like Wales, but it was very windy and wet.

The storm has left us with a chill in the air so I am happy I had my lovely thick coat and welly boots ready.

I love this coat a lot. It is a new addition to my autumn/winter wardrobe and I am so into. It looks good. The midnight blue colour is one of my favourite shades. And it keeps me very warm thanks to the extra-thick Nanuk 300 Sherpa fleece.

This lovely and practical coat has a wind-resistant exterior which came in very handy last week, If you want a coat that would provide outstanding warmth and protection against external forces, then you should consider this piece.

The welly boots are wearing are new. They are fleece lined for total warmth and are dead comfy. I loved wearing this pair while the storm lasted. And I feel ready for the cold winter months now that I have this in my boots collection. The welly boots are durable, comfortable, practical, stylish and very affordable at just £34. They are also waterproof with removable insole.
