Lara Mullen Covers Marie Claire UK November 2016

Lara Mullen Covers Marie Claire UK November 2016, and I find this cover quite different. I don’t like it at all!

There is nothing about this cover I like at all.  It looks so blah – plain and boring, nothing like the usual Marie Claire magazine covers, and I wonder what has gone wrong. Although Marie Claire has been slacking in the magazine covers bit lately; the previous cover with Britney Spears was pretty but her pose was a little too serious. And I think this is also an issue with this cover here; Lara Mullen looks a little too serious.

I didn’t know who Lara Mullen was, not until after I did some research. So for those who don’t know, Lara Mullen is a British model and she recently just had a haircut, everyone online seems to be going on and on about that on the web.

So looking on the bright side, boring cover aside, the issue looks quite interesting. I am loving the features on the cover, especially the “What to wear now” feature. There is also an interview with the  Fifty Shades‘ star – Jamie Dornan, which looks like a fab read. Here is a quote from the interview:

‘The idea of being single makes me instantly sweat’ Jamie Dornan told us, sounding very much relieved to be off the market. In his November issue interview with Marie Claire, Dornan also discussed his aversion to gyms, why he loves playing Paul Spector in The Fall and why filming the second and third Fifty Shades movies was easier than the first”.

There are also tips on how to fight winter colds which is currently going the runs:

Did you know taking vitamin C pills doesn’t really help prevent a cold? Or that the number of colds you suffer from is partly down to genetics? Or that being miserable can actually make you more susceptible to the sniffles? With the most up-to-the-minute research – and advice on remedies that really work – we bring you a comprehensive guide to the most common ailment there is.

This issue sounds quite interesting to be honest. I would read it if I come across it or may pick it up if I have the time to pop down to the shops before it leaves the newsstands.

What do you think of this cover? Are you a fan? Sound off in the comment section below, lets chat.

Thanks for reading and have a fab weekend.

Britney Spears Covers Marie Claire October 2016

It is a pleasant surprise to see Britney Spears as the cover girl for Marie Claire UK October 2016 issue I can see Britney is trying to make a comeback. I have been seeing and hearing a lot of her in the last month and I am happy to see her doing good again. I was a huge fan of Britney growing up. I enjoyed majority of her songs and I thought she was really cute but my feelings towards her and her music has changed in the last couple of years. But I am happy to see her doing her thing.

After a 3 year stint in Las Vegas, Britney Spears has made a fantastic return to the charts this month with her album Glory, currently on the number 1 spot on the charts. In her interview with Marie Claire’s writer – Louise Gannon, Britney talked about her love life, how she struggled with being famous and how comfortable she feels now that she is a mother. Here are some quotes from the interview –

Finding fame early – ‘I moved to Los Angeles when I was very young’ she said, ‘I was so under scrutiny. If a hair was out-of-place, I’d be so anxious. I would get very anxious about so many things.’

Motherhood – Becoming a mother and being with my boys [ Jayden, 9, Sean Preston, 10] has made me so much more accepting of myself. I’m their mom, whatever. That has been a really big thing for me over these last few years.’

Dating – I had a really bad date’, she told us, ‘I mean, it was really bad. I’ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn’t like me. In the evening I got on the scales and I had lost six pounds.’ [She continues] ‘We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward. So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didn’t work […] He just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody. Being famous doesn’t make you any different.’

I like the cover. I would have preferred a not so serious pose, but it ticks all the boxes. I would love to read this issue and play catch up on Britney Spears’ life. It would be nice to know what she has really been up to all these years. The other features on the cover also sound very interesting. I am particularly interested in the Fashion Special article.

What do you thin of this Marie Claire cover? Are you a fan of Britney Spears?

102 years after it’s invention, most women still take their bras for granted. They spend money on stylish clothes and accessories but neglect their bras, forgetting the fact that the right foundation is the key to a well-tailored look. Today, many women are walking about wearing a wrong bra size. Some have not had a professional fitting done in over two years. Are you one of them?

Britney Spears having a major bra issue.

Your bust deserves a good, structured bra. A good structured bra will enhance your body shape, providing the right support with a perfect fit, which is simply a Bra-tastic. On the other hand, wearing an ill-fitting bra can cause health problems, like shoulder and neck pain, spinal pain, cervical spine issues and many other health issues. This fact alone is enough to get you to wear the right bra.

When it comes to bras, I am a huge fan of Marks & Spencer, Ultimo and Victoria’s Secret. All my bras are from these three stores, and they have a bra for every woman.

Here are eight tips you should remember when buying your next bra:

  1. Go for a fitting before buying your next bra. Every good bra store has a professional fitter ready to measure.
  2. Go for a bra fitting again if you lose or gain 10 pounds or more, are pregnant or have just had a baby.
  3. Try the bras in stores before you part with your cash. Bras are like shoes, no two ever fits the same.
  4. A good bra won’t come cheap so prepare to spend ££ to get a good bra.
  5. Go for versatile bras that can be strapped, strapless and mono-strapped.
  6. Go for bras in colours that will match pieces in your wardrobe.
  7. Opt for bras in styles that flatter your bust. So for women with broad shoulders, go for bras with narrow set straps, and so on.
  8. The bra straps around the body should be firm but very comfortable.
