Here are some tips to help you stay stylish on a budget –

Keep your wardrobe uncluttered

This is one tip that is not as popular, but keeping your wardrobe uncluttered helps your clothes breathe, and allows you to easily shop your closet and spot any gaps. I recently did a massive declutter of my wardrobe and being able to get rid of unloved items felt so good. It also allowed me to really see spot gaps that needed filling for the spring months. I realised I didn’t really have springy pieces that were stylish and comfortable enough to work from home in. If you want to stay stylish on a budget, the first step is to declutter and see what you are really working wit

Create or maintain a capsule wardrobe

Having a capsule wardrobe allows you have a fab collection of pieces and accessories that embody your personal style, and this helps you create various looks with minimal effort. Apart from the fact that having a capsule wardrobe can be seriously stylish, it also makes fashion shopping a lot more affordable, as you would find that you don’t have to shop so often, and you would get more wear out of every item.

Look out for sales

Before you go shopping, look out for which stores have items on sale. If none, consider holding on until you can get the item for a cheaper price. With the rise in cost for pretty much everything, it is important to avoid impulse buying, and shop more smartly. I love buying items on sale that I would have bought at full price. It feels to shop and save money at the same time.

Mix high-end with high street pieces

This is one of my favourite style on a budget tip. Mixing high-end pieces with high street pieces is a smart way to style on a budget. Styling a River Island or NEXT dress with a Gucci handbag and Stella McCartney heels is super cool.

What do you think of these style tips? How do you stay stylish on a budget?

Shop for Feminine Accessories

The easiest way to dress more feminine is to add some feminine accessories to your wardrobe. Some of my favourite accessories are headbands, belts, scarves, and the likes. You can easily look more feminine just by adding a colourful belt like the lovely model above has done. Headbands are my daughter’s favourite accessory and it is because they are so girly and pretty. You can a headband with a bow or flower, or you can tie a scarf for a more dainty touch.

If you are low on budget and can’t afford to really go all out and shop for new pieces, just make do with some bright coloured accessories.

Go for Colourful Pieces

Shopping for colourful pieces is another quick way to create a more feminine capsule wardrobe. The more colourful, the more feminine, so you may want to steer clear of dark and monochrome colours, and go for more brights instead. Obviously you are not going to walk around looking like a rainbow just to appear more feminine. Instead you will be blending more colourful pieces together that look good. Colours like purple, pink and bright blue are considered feminine colours.  So a bright blue skirt would look lovely paired with a light pink blouse, and black heels.

Choose Well-fitted Clothes

To look more feminine you would want to wear clothes that are well-fitted. There is no room for ill-fitted or baggy pieces. You would want clothes that fit you like a glove. If your clothes are too baggy, it would hide your body, and if it is too tight it would distort some areas. That’s why buying dresses can be ideal, as they are easier to fit than a lot of other clothes. If you’re not sure where to start, Cotton Dayz stock many cotton dresses for you to look at.
