I mentioned in my last post that I am now a vegetarian. That applies to what I take in and what I use on my skin and around me. I am slowly implementing natural vegan products in my daily life. It has been a lovely experience so far and I am really enjoying discovering new products and a better way of living. I have been trying lots of new brands and products and I will be sharing my experience on here. Today, I am reviewing the Sanctuary Spa Body Butter. This Vegan body moisturiser is a blend of shea & cocoa butter, sweet almond & macadamia nut oil.

This product is a Body Butter, so do not use on your face. It is a great product to use especially in the cold winter months. I can see myself using Sanctuary Spa Body Butter for many years to come.

Drink more water and give your skin a daily makeover

I am not a dermatologist, but drinking water regularly is one of the best things you could do for your physical health and skin. This should come as no surprise since our skin contains 64 percent water. Replenishing the water in our skin by drinking the recommended 8 glasses of water a day is the sensible thing to do. I make sure I drink as much water as possible throughout the day. It is a lot easier for me to drink more water these days since I have cut out fizzy drinks from my diet. I am also on a natural healthy sort of diet and that eliminates lots of drinks and food, which leaves room for more water.

Drink more water and give your skin a daily makeover

So how does water really help the skin? Here are a few skin benefits of drinking water to get that daily makeover –

Water removes toxins

Drinking the right amount of water will help get rid of toxins in your body, which will help you glow from the inside out. If you are dealing with facial spots, acne, and other skin issues, you should try drinking more water if you are not doing so already. That may just do the trick!

Water keeps the skin hydrated

Apart from removing skin toxins, water also keeps the skin hydrated. Water is pretty much a natural moisturiser. I see many people spending a lot of money on skincare products but neglecting their diet. Drinking the right amount of water every day is the fastest way to keep your skin hydrated.

Here are some celebrities who swear by drinking water –

Fashion Bloggers image

Beyonce

“I try to take care of myself, drinking at least a gallon of water with lemon a day,”

Gabrielle Union

“I try to drink a gallon of water a day, and I try to get in 32 ounces with breakfast,”

Rosie Huntington Whiteley

“As soon as I wake up, I try and drink a liter of water,”

My lips usually let me know when I need to drink more water. They get really dry, and that is my reminder to increase my water intake. Since I started drinking more water religiously, I have noticed a huge difference in my skin. It is a lot clearer and there is a glow for sure. Drinking enough water is one of the best things you could ever do for your skin. So make sure you drink more water and give your skin a daily makeover!

Hair. It’s the difference between a great day and a rubbish one. Whether we like it or not, our hair transforms the way we look. From outlandish and bold to subtle and chic; long or short; light or dark; tied up or loose and long. Changing up the style and colour of your hair is one of the surefire ways to get your mojo back – it’s a tried and true mood-booster! Sometimes, though, we reach a frustrating dead-end when finding solutions for our hair’s health.

All hair products tell us that our hair will feel amazing, incredible, revolutionized, and unreal when we use them – but the truth is, this is rarely the case. Finding the right products that suit your style and type of hair and actually make a difference, is really hard. Some people spend years trying different brands and products before they have that eureka moment! The way our hair looks can greatly affect how we feel day-to-day, therefore everyone deserves to have the best-looking hair they could imagine.

Hair loss or hair thinning

This is a tough one. Although baldness and hair loss is most common in men and is usually genetic, hair loss and hair thinning are also very common problems for women. Losing your hair can come down to many things, including stress, hormones, illness, malnutrition or simply genetics. Whatever the reason, hair loss can result in a person feeling self-conscious and unhappy about the way they look.

There are ways to cope with hair loss, however. Investing in hair transplants seems like an extreme measure, but in fact, it isn’t. Hair transplanting is a fantastic resource for those who want to make a real change to their appearance. Our modern world has made it easier than ever to reverse hair loss; take the opportunity and make the change for yourself.

Damaged, broken hair

Anyone who’s ever bleached their hair will know this struggle. It’s true, blondes do have more fun – until it’s time to try and repair the damage done. Although there are now safe ways to bleach your hair which minimise damage, the fact of the matter is that lightening your hair is brutal on its structure. Bleaching your hair breaks down its pigment, hence the lightening effect – but it also all but destroys its molecular structure.

If you’re someone who might have been a little trigger-happy with the bleach, you might have run out of ideas to fix those broken strands. One simple and cheap way to repair your hair is to use a coconut oil mask. This simply means taking your dry hair, unwashed, and coating it from root to tip in pure coconut oil. Your hair will feel like a ball of grease – that’s how you know it’s working. Wrap your hair tightly in a hair wrap or towel and pin it, then sleep overnight with your hair in the oil. In the morning, shampoo your hair twice and condition it as normal. Your hair will feel better than it has in years!
