The Benefits of Lavender Oil for Skin

Hey beauty and skincare lovers! Hope you are having a great start to the week. I am a huge fan of Lavender Oil. It is one of my favourite essential oils. I use it pretty much everyday and the benefits of this amazing oil are too numerous to list here but I will try my best to mention a couple. For those who have never used Lavender Oil, it is an essential oil derived from the lavender plant. This essential oil can be used on the hair and skin, and it can also be taken orally and breathed in through aromatherapy. For this post, I will be focusing on the benefits of lavender oil for skin only.

Combats skin issues

Lavender oil can prevent and heal acne by unclogging pores and reducing inflammation. Like all other essential oils, this lavender oil has to be diluted with a carrier oil. My preferred carrier oil is coconut oil. Diluting lavender oil and coconut oil creates the perfect facial oil to help you combat acne, pimples, spots and other skin issues. You ca also dilute lavender oil with a carrier oil to create a facial toner.

Skin lightening oil

If you are dealing with hyperpigmentation, lavender oil may be all you need to help you lighten the dark areas on your skin. As always, dilute a few drops of lavender oil with a carrier oil of your choice and apply it daily to your area.

Anti-ageing oil

Lavender oil is great for combating wrinkles and fine lines on the face. It contains antioxidants which are great for shielding the face from free radicals. To get rid of fine lines and wrinkles, dilute a few drops of lavender oil with coconut oil, and apply the mixture to your face twice a day.

Sunburn treatment

Lavender oil has anti-inflammatory abilities which are great for the treatment of sun burn. To do this, combine 3 drops of lavender oil with 3 drops of coconut oil, and apply the mixture three times a day to the affected area. You can also put the mixture in a spray bottle and apply on the affected area three times a day until the burn heals.

I am forever trying new products. One of my favourite things to do is to try new products and blog all about them. I recently came across Angela Langford Balancing Face Oil and I have been using it on a daily basis. As always, I was very excited to try this face oil by Angela Langford. I have used a cleansing balm from the brand before and I liked it, so I knew this oil was going to be just as good. With this oil, I use it at night after cleansing my face and sometimes during the day. It works great for both times.

This Face Oil is a mix of kiwi, rosehip & safflower. It is blended with omegas 3 & 6 to help balance skin. Also, cypress, bergamot & lemongrass are folded in to clear blocked pores, whilst mandarin & frankincense help tone & lift the skin.

I really like this Angela Langford Balanced and Beautiful Face Oil. It is a great anti-ageing face oil and it leaves my face looking balanced and beautiful.

I have been using this No 7 Purifying Foaming Cleanser for many months now. This skincare product has completely changed my beauty routine for the better. I am glad I came across this cleanser. For those who have never heard of this product, No 7 Purifying Foaming Cleanser is a refreshing purifying and foaming cleanser that deep cleans the facial skin to remove make-up, impurities, pollutants and excess oil. It purifies skin and tightens the pores, leaving skin looking clearer and shine free.

  2. It works! I love the way this cleanser cleans my skin. It wipes off every trace of makeup quickly.
  3. A little goes a long way with this cleanser. One pump is more than enough to cleanse the whole face.
  4. I love the way it leaves my skin clean, soft and smooth.
  5. It is great for all skin types.

I love this No 7 Purifying and Foaming Cleanser. It works great on my skin and it cleanses it perfectly. This is one of the most effective cleansers I have used in a long time. I like the fact that it removes all traces of makeup, leaving my skin clean and smooth. The results are indeed radiant.
