The lovely Ruth Wilson covers Marie Claire UK December 2016 issue and I am loving it. It is a lovely cover. Ruth Wilson looks flawless on it.

I am a huge fan of this woman. I have followed her acting career since her Jane Eyre days. I loved her in Luther, and she literally blew my mind away with her character in The Affair. I can’t wait for the new season of the series to start. It is one of my current TV favourites.

This issue sounds like a fun read. The excerpts from her interview with Marie Claire makes me want to get out and buy it. I guess that was the effect they were hoping for. Here are some of them –

On wedding and a wedding dress –

I hate the thought of walking down the aisle in a white dress – I think it’s just a horrible idea. And I’m just not that excited by the idea of a wedding day, or of a ring on my finger’ she says, ‘I’m not even interested in jewellery.

On filming The Affair –

But arguably her most talked-about role to date is as Alison Bailey in The Affair, a role that has won her critical acclaim as well as a Golden Globe for Best Actress. Meeting writer Jane Mulkerrins for coffee in New York, Wilson said the sheer intensity of the show almost wiped her out. ‘The first season was relentless and draining. I’m not someone who can ever do something half-arsed, but at points, I did think, “Oh my god I can’t go any deeper.” I didn’t know if I could sustain it.’

Apart from the interview, the other features also sound very interesting. The new generation party looks feature sounds like a good style read. And I would like to read about the music industry dirty secret.

This issue has hit the newsstands. Will you be reading? What do you think of Ruth Wilson?

Lara Mullen Covers Marie Claire UK November 2016

Lara Mullen Covers Marie Claire UK November 2016, and I find this cover quite different. I don’t like it at all!

There is nothing about this cover I like at all.  It looks so blah – plain and boring, nothing like the usual Marie Claire magazine covers, and I wonder what has gone wrong. Although Marie Claire has been slacking in the magazine covers bit lately; the previous cover with Britney Spears was pretty but her pose was a little too serious. And I think this is also an issue with this cover here; Lara Mullen looks a little too serious.

I didn’t know who Lara Mullen was, not until after I did some research. So for those who don’t know, Lara Mullen is a British model and she recently just had a haircut, everyone online seems to be going on and on about that on the web.

So looking on the bright side, boring cover aside, the issue looks quite interesting. I am loving the features on the cover, especially the “What to wear now” feature. There is also an interview with the  Fifty Shades‘ star – Jamie Dornan, which looks like a fab read. Here is a quote from the interview:

‘The idea of being single makes me instantly sweat’ Jamie Dornan told us, sounding very much relieved to be off the market. In his November issue interview with Marie Claire, Dornan also discussed his aversion to gyms, why he loves playing Paul Spector in The Fall and why filming the second and third Fifty Shades movies was easier than the first”.

There are also tips on how to fight winter colds which is currently going the runs:

Did you know taking vitamin C pills doesn’t really help prevent a cold? Or that the number of colds you suffer from is partly down to genetics? Or that being miserable can actually make you more susceptible to the sniffles? With the most up-to-the-minute research – and advice on remedies that really work – we bring you a comprehensive guide to the most common ailment there is.

This issue sounds quite interesting to be honest. I would read it if I come across it or may pick it up if I have the time to pop down to the shops before it leaves the newsstands.

What do you think of this cover? Are you a fan? Sound off in the comment section below, lets chat.

Thanks for reading and have a fab weekend.

Felicity Jones Covers Harper’s Bazaar UK November 2016

Felicity Jones is on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar November 2016 issue and I like it. I am a huge fan of Harper’s Bazaar magazine covers. I think they are very artistic and creative, and the covers always stand out from the rest. And this cover right here is no exception. I love the background and Felicity Jones’ Fendi outfit; she looks stunning.

I am not a fan of Felicity, I know little or nothing about her to be honest. So apart from the lovely cover, I have no interest in buying this issue. But I would read it if I come across it. If you are thinking of grabbing this issue, here are some quotes from her interview ith Harper’s Bazaar –

On social media:

She doesn’t use social media – “I would feel like I was working all the time”; politely deflects questions about her private life; and can still travel around London alone without getting pestered.”I don’t court that kind of attention,” she says.

On strong female roles:

“You read things like: ‘He grabs her by the arm and pulls her along’,” she says wryly. “But there’s an appetite for both men and women to be interesting, complicated characters. We don’t want to see stereotypes any more on screen. I become really passionate when I’m playing a part, and I do fight for that role and for the intricacy of that person. Film is very powerful so I do feel that there is a certain amount of responsibility to portray reality. I have had really strong female role models in my life.”

The special-edition subscribers’ cover features Jones wearing pieces from Burberry’s new collection, which takes inspiration from Virginia Woolf’s novel ‘Orlando’, photographed by David Slijper.

I love this Burberry outfit.

Both covers look great but I prefer the first cover? Which do you prefer?
