The lovely Ruth Wilson covers Marie Claire UK December 2016 issue and I am loving it. It is a lovely cover. Ruth Wilson looks flawless on it.

I am a huge fan of this woman. I have followed her acting career since her Jane Eyre days. I loved her in Luther, and she literally blew my mind away with her character in The Affair. I can’t wait for the new season of the series to start. It is one of my current TV favourites.

This issue sounds like a fun read. The excerpts from her interview with Marie Claire makes me want to get out and buy it. I guess that was the effect they were hoping for. Here are some of them –

On wedding and a wedding dress –

I hate the thought of walking down the aisle in a white dress – I think it’s just a horrible idea. And I’m just not that excited by the idea of a wedding day, or of a ring on my finger’ she says, ‘I’m not even interested in jewellery.

On filming The Affair –

But arguably her most talked-about role to date is as Alison Bailey in The Affair, a role that has won her critical acclaim as well as a Golden Globe for Best Actress. Meeting writer Jane Mulkerrins for coffee in New York, Wilson said the sheer intensity of the show almost wiped her out. ‘The first season was relentless and draining. I’m not someone who can ever do something half-arsed, but at points, I did think, “Oh my god I can’t go any deeper.” I didn’t know if I could sustain it.’

Apart from the interview, the other features also sound very interesting. The new generation party looks feature sounds like a good style read. And I would like to read about the music industry dirty secret.

This issue has hit the newsstands. Will you be reading? What do you think of Ruth Wilson?

Beauty Muse – Eva Green

eva-green-image

The very successful actress – Eva Green is the Beauty Muse today on Fashion and Style Police, and she deserves the spot because she is so easy on the eyes. I love how different she looks – dark look, brunette, very pale skin, and mesmerizing blue eyes. She is the definition of Beauty and Brains.

I have always admired Eva Green; I like the fact that she is talented and beautiful in a very different way. She is not your regular girl next door which is great. I find beauties like her much more interesting to look at.

I am so into her signature look – dark eyes and red lips. She rocks it like no other and she looks amazingly beautiful in a fierce way. She is beauty goals!

Here are some beauty secrets she shared with Marie Claire awhile ago :

“I have a make-up artist who gives me beautiful smoky eyes for events, but when I have to do it myself, I focus on red lipstick with no mascara, and straight or tied-back hair. YSL Beauty does a tomato-orange matte lipstick that really stays put. I also love Nars Velvet Matte lip pencils because you don’t need to use a separate liner.”

“I hate spending too much time in the hairdressers, so I prefer quick treatments like the L’Oréal Professionnel Pro Fibre service [around £10-£15], which only takes about 15-minutes. My hair always feels thicker and healthier afterwards. I use the shampoo and conditioner at home to maintain it”.

I thought I was the only one who hated spending time at the hairdressers, but I am glad to know that I am not alone, Eva Green is with me, lol.

I hate spending time at the hairdressers, and that is one of the reasons why I have worn only wigs this year. I just don’t have the time and I find it exhausting.

What do you think of Eva Green as a Beauty Muse? Are you a fan?

Anne Kendrick Covers Marie Claire September 2016

Marie Claire Sept 2016

The beautiful Anne Kendrick covers Marie Claire September 2016 issue. I like this cover. It is quite different and an old school theme to it, which is a breath of fresh air. And I am a fan of Anne Kendrick. I love her movies – I find her really funny, and I enjoy reading about her.

In her interview with Marie Claire, Kendrick opens up her Hollywood career, how she is learning to toughen up at auditions and her family life –

My family was very into open communication’ she says, ‘Weirdly it had the side effect of making me unprepared for navigating the more political aspects of the adult world.’ Until, she tell us, an audition where she walked in and told the casting directors “I don’t really think that I’m right for this but I’ll read for you and if you want to bring me back on something else…” I had such a great response, I wish I’d done it from the beginning, instead of being like, [puts on a meek voice], “Thanks so much” [then deadpans] it was fun wasting both of our time.’

Apart from Anne Kendrick’s full interview which I am dying to read, I also find some of the other features on the magazine cover interesting. It is the fashion issue, so I would want to read all about that, and also read the ‘Your Style File’ post. This issue is currently in my to read pile and I am hoping to read it over the bank holiday weekend.

What do you think of this Marie Claire September issue? Are you a fan of Anne Kendrick’s movies? She has featured in What to expect when you are expecting, The Twilight Saga, Digging for Fire, and many more movies.

Thanks for reading and have a fab weekend.
