Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar

I have never had a Christmas Advent Calendar. In fact, I never knew they existed until a year ago. I am very into all things beauty as my regular readers would know but I am still yet to get my very first Christmas Advent Calendar. Most of the Advent Calendars I would like are very pricey. I have a very expensive taste and I think beauty calendars are a clear case of you get what you pay for. There is no point buying an Advent Calendar from a brand you don’t like and get products you are not excited about. That will be a waste of time and money.

While shopping and contemplating on which Christmas Advent Calendar to get, I came across this engaging and interactive beauty Christmas Advent Calendar by Book Your Lifestyle – a community of UK beauty, health and fitness experts at your service 24/7, and it had my full attention.

The Book Your Lifestyle Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar is basically 24 days of amazing prices that is sure to get people talking. The prices are worth £4000, and they range from beauty treatments at a London spa, nail and hair salon to beauty products and many more. This beauty campaign goes live today and will run until 24th December. Closing date for entry will be midnight on every day between the December 1st and December 24th.

I am super excited about this campaign. I am always in need of a beauty treatment. I will be in London for a few days after Christmas so I am hoping a win treatment. I can never say no to a spa day. I think this Christmas Beauty Advent Calendar is a great idea. Book Your Lifestyle really thought outside the box for this one. I think it would be very popular and good fun.

On that note,  I am off to Book Your Lifestyle website to click on today’s window. Good luck to all of us.

Cryotherapy: The Ice Age

Cryotherapy: The Ice Age

So if you follow me on Twitter, you will know all about my trip to Nicky Clark Manchester over the weekend for a cryotherapy session. Well if you didn’t know, you know now. I had an amazing cryotherapy session with the lovely Jourdanne at the salon, and it was an amazing experience.

If you remember, I had my first cryotherapy treatment on my stomach, some months ago. Well, this time I went for the face, and I am happy I did. This session was amazing, it was a lot better than my first session I had at a different clinic. I am so happy I went ahead with it.

For those who don’t want cryotherapy is about, let me break it down:

Cryotheraphy is the use of extremely low temperatures to reduce fat in body areas, improve skin tone, smooth facial wrinkles, reduces acne, relieves pain, injuries and muscle damage, decrease inflammation, and increase cell rejuvenation. The treatment originated from Japan, and the whole idea behind it, is the liquid nitrogen-based freezing technology on a concentrated area to trigger a physiological reaction to cold temperatures.

Here are some of the benefits of cryotherapy:

  1. No pain, no surgery, no side-effects.
  2. Skin rejuvenation.
  3. Stretch mark reduction.
  4. Skin tightening.
  5. Wrinkle reduction.
  6. Bum lift.
  7. Face lift
  8. Acne reduction.
  9. Swelling reduction
  10. Recovery from sports injuries.

I can go on and on about the benefits of the cryotherapy treatment but instead of writing about that, I am going to tell you about my second experience, which was a lot better than my first.

This session lasted for an hour. It started off with a consultation, form filling and all, and then I wrapped up in warm towels and started the treatment.

Using Neal’s Yard Remedies products, my face was cleansed, exfoliated and toned. A face mask was applied to my face and left for 15 minutes, while I enjoyed a shoulder, neck and scalp massage whilst listening to some cool music. It was super relaxing.

After 15 minutes, the face mask was removed, a face toner was applied and then what felt like very cold ice spray was applied for 6 minutes on each side of the face.

After the treatment, each side of the face was massaged to stimulate blood flow, a toner to remove oil, and finally, a moistuirser.

I am sure you can see a clear difference in the before and after pictures. My skin tone looks evenly toned, a lot smoother and brighter. I am extremely happy with the results. I found the treatment relaxing and I recommend it to every woman needing a face lift. Go for a Cryo Face Lift instead, at £85 for a single treatment, it is worth every penny. That treatment hour was my most relaxing hour of the month.

I have a short video clip of me undergoing the treatment on Instagram, so feel free to take a look.

What do you think of this treatment? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

Thanks for reading.
