February 2017 Outfits

I know we still have a few days left in the month of February but I am feeling very proactive this year, and I know I won’t be featuring any more outfits this month, so here is a quick recap of the outfits I styled this February.

OOTD: Birthday in Milan

This look was my first outfit post. I wore this outfit on my birthday in Milan. The dress and the shoes are new wardrobe additions, and I have styled them in other outfits a couple of times now. I found the dress very comfy and warm. It kept me nice and toasty, I didn’t even need to pop on my jacket for most of the day.

I got the dress from Next, and the shoes by Kurt Geiger. The other outfit details are in the post, the link is above.

This outfit was also worn in Milan, and it is my favourite look this February. The sweater and bag are new wardrobe additions. I love the berry colour and the tie cuff design of the sweater. And this gorgeous bag is now my go-to bag. I love the entire look a lot.

I got the sweater from Next, and the bag is Gucci. You can grab the rest of the outfit details via the link above.

OOTD: A Spring Outfit

And here is the final look for the month. I wore this outfit some days ago. The weather is getting warmer, and on some days, I don’t need to have on my bulky winter jacket. This day was one of those days, and I hope the weather transitions to Spring quickly.

The t-shirt, flats and necklace are all new additions. I got the t-shirt and flats from a Mercedes-Benz store in Milan. The rest of the outfit details can be found in the outfit post, link above.

OOTD: Gucci Birthday Present

I took these photos while holidaying in Milan in January for my birthday. It was a lovely day, we were on our way to the shops when I decided to pose for the camera for Fashion and Style Police.

I got this Gucci GG Marmont Matelasse shoulder bag on my birthday as a present to myself, and I adore it. It is my first Gucci bag and currently the most expensive bag in my collection. I am very happy I have gotten to a point in my life where I can spoil myself every once in a while. I have always admired Gucci bags and always wanted one. So it felt insanely good to grab this beauty. Plus I like the new Gucci logo!

This beauty would be my travel companion. I like to travel with shoulder cross body bags so I have my hands free to grab my toddlers. And so I don’t worry about losing my bag or its contents to pick pockets. Only a crazy person would try to rob a bag across my shoulder, in front of me!

It is also a great accessory for days out, and when I can’t be bothered with my regular big handbags.

Shopping in a Gucci store in Milan felt good. Like all the other luxury shops, the attention you get from the staff is so amazing. The shop was so beautiful and the service I got was great. I felt like a real life princess.

The berry jumper I have on is also new. It was one of my birthday presents. I felt so warm inside it, and I love the unique tie cuff design. It is one of my favourite knit pieces this season.

The Chill is in the Air

The chill is in the air. It has been extremely cold in Cheshire this week. We were in Milan over the weekend, and it did not feel half as cold as it does here. It was chilly enough to pop a jacket and maybe a scarf on but it was just moderate chill, nothing like what we have here at all. I even had some sunshine on my birthday. But I have to forget about Milan, and accept the fact that over here in Cheshire, it is freezing!

Whenever I am out, I am always eager to get home to a warm house. I love the fact that our heating system can be set to go on and off at various times. It definitely makes my life a lot easier; I don’t need to run and down the stairs to pop the heating on, and it keeps the house nice and warm for longer because it comes up at times when the warmth is needed.

We have never had a boiler breakdown (touch wood) and I am super grateful for that. It could be because we have our boiler serviced by good heating engineers every year, as recommended. I did skip a year one time though but it was not intentional. Running after 2 toddlers all day can be extremely exhausting, I tend to forget most of the things that need to be done, and that year I forgot to have the boiler serviced. I remember the following year, which was last year, and got it done immediately by a professional heating engineer. So do check to see when next your boiler is due for a service to avoid an annoying boiler breakdown.
