Outfit Post – Light Layers

I am loving the fact that I can still get away with wearing only light layers. My winter coats are out and ready for the chill, and so is the rest of my wardrobe. Light layers are all I am wearing at the moment because the weather permits it and I am seriously making the most of it, before I am only able to wear big winter coats. How is the weather where you are?

The blue Sangro jacket I have on is a new wardrobe addition. I love the blue shade a lot. It is a great fit and it is a great light jacket to have around. This Sangro Jacket is good for all year round but it is great for the spring and autumn weather, as the weather isn’t as cold. It has a fully waterproof shell which makes it ideal for rainy days. I am so in love with this stunning piece. It is currently my favourite jacket.

The leggings is also kind of new. I am forever buying new pairs because I am forever wearing them. Leggings are dead comfy and easy to style, which is why I find myself reaching for them almost everyday. They are just so easy to wear and this beauty here ticks all the right style boxes.

I am hoping the weather stays cool for longer before the winter chill hits with a vengeance. The weather forecast promises we won’t be waiting too long for the chill to hit but for now, I am enjoying the lovely autumn weather and my new Sangro Jacket. Hope the weather is good where you are.

Outfit Post – Styling a T-shirt for September

I am happy September is finally here and I am styling a t-shirt for September. August was a very busy month. And it felt like it took forever at a point. So I am glad the new month is now here. I can see September being even more busy than August. The kids are back to school in the next few days, and we are all looking forward to that. All what they need for school is ready and I am eager for a bit more structure to our days.

A lot would be happening here on Fashion and Style Police this September and the rest of the year. It is going to be super busy. I am working on all sorts and dying to share them all with you.

I wore this outfit some days ago to a theme park with the kids. It was a lazy style day, and I wanted an outfit I would move freely in. We were planning to go on rides, so I needed to be dead comfy. This outfit worked great for the day. I got the t-shirt as a souvenir gift from Japan earlier in the year. I like the white, red and gold shirt design. Looking at the shirt, I thought it was going to be a lot bigger on me, but I was happy to see it was the right size once it was on me.

Styling the t-shirt was dead easy. I just went for a pair of leggings, flats and a cross body bag, because I needed my hands free for the day. It was super easy to style, I could even do it in my sleep. I love having t-shirts in my wardrobe because they save me on lazy days. And I think they always look smart. What do you think of styling a t-shirt?

Outfit Post – Fashion Blogger in Maryland

As you may know by now, we were on holiday in the US for some days. We got back last week, and we still trying to get back into the swing of things. The jet lag is gone, which is great. We were like zombies for days. But I still have a mountain of laundry to tackle, and some unpacking to do. Which is the part I hate the most about going on holiday. Thankfully, I made sure I cleaned the house from top to bottom before we left. I didn’t want us to come back to a dirty house. That would have been so depressing.

I took these photos in Laurel, Maryland. It was a nice sunny day, and I was in the mood to get outfit shots taken. The only accessory missing was my sunglasses, but I didn’t let that stop me.

Like I said in the previous travel post, I didn’t get to do a lot of sight seeing in Maryland. I was hoping to do visit some tourist attractions but it never happened. All I did was see family and friends, and I spent the rest of my time in shopping malls or the hotel.

We spent 6 nights in Maryland. It was my third time visiting the city but first with the kids. We stayed in Homewood Suites by Hilton, which was a literally a home away from home, with a kitchen, living room and bedroom. We had a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, TVs, coffee machine and all the basics available to us. It was a lovely place to stay and I will be looking out for Homewood Suites by Hilton in other locations.

I didn’t get to travel with my Canon camera so the quality of my photos are not as good as I would have liked. I had to make do with my iPhone and Samsung phone cameras. We were travelling with too many tablets and laptops, the last thing I wanted to add on was another gadget.

Everything I have on is old, apart from the cardigan. I got that piece a few weeks ago, and I am seriously loving it. It is such a stylish piece! Do you agree? Have you been to Maryland before? Please share your thoughts in the comments section below.
