Getting Ready for Your Vacation: Important Tips to Look Your Best image

Choose a Funky Hairstyle

If it is time to change your color and style, you should visit your hair salon before you travel and talk to your stylist about the latest trends. You might want to find a hairstyle that is easy to manage, even if you are in and out the pool all the time. The good news is that there are several ways of styling a pixie cut or a simple bob, so you can look different every day, depending on your mood and the occasion.

Pick and Mix

When going shopping for your vacation, you will have to find clothes you can mix instead of planning each outfit. Accidents can happen, and you things don’t always go according to plan. The good news is that accessories take up less space than clothing items. A good way of saving space in your luggage is adding funky scarves, belts, hats, and headbands that can help you create a unique look every time. You might want to pack a few colorful cardigans to throw over your summer dress, and you will have a new look. Add costume jewelry, earrings, and create a beach dress of a large colorful scarf.

Choose Comfortable Shoes

While you might be thinking that you will wear your sandals and heels all the time while on vacation, you will not feel comfortable in the heat. You should get a walking shoe or sandal for visiting the beach, or you will end up with painful blisters. The key is combining pretty with comfy when you go on a vacation. You can find comfortable and adorable sandals that suit shorts and short dresses alike to take you on vacation if you do your research.

Check Your Bag Allowance

To avoid disappointments and having to rearrange your clothes last minute, it is important that you check your bag allowance before you start packing. You might spend hours selecting the different outfits that create the perfect match, but if you don’t have enough space, you will need to start again. Plan your vacation clothing carefully, and add an extra outfit just in case you get invited somewhere elegant, such as a five-star restaurant or a premiere of a theater performance.

Get Some Tan

Before you hit the beach, it is important to build up some tan. If you can catch some sun rays at home, make the most out of the opportunity. In case the sun is still hiding, you should use self-tanning creams or lotions, maybe pay a visit to your local solarium. This way you will look less “out of place” and can see how your newly purchased vacation clothes look on you when you have a bit of tan. At the same time, by sunbathing before your vacation, you can avoid sunburn during your stay.

Travel Hair Styling Kit

If you love swimming in the sea and the pool, it is important that you can restore order after. A small travel hair styling kit that includes a hair dryer, a hair iron, curlers, and other accessories can fit in a small space in your bag, and save you from embarrassing hair days after spending a few hours on the beach. Pack some pins and hair clips, so you can simply tie your hair back when it is not looking its best.

Permanent Makeup

If you want to spend more time outdoors and in the water, and less fixing your makeup, a permanent solution might be a good option for you. You can get your permanent makeup completed a few weeks before your vacation, and this means you don’t have to worry about trying to use the small mirror to apply your eyeliner every morning, or getting your makeup smudged in the heat or in the water.

Whether you are a regular vacationer, or this is your first time in the year, get ready to impress people with your style. Work smarter and not harder on your looks. Pack less clothes and more accessories. Get your miniature hair styling kit in the bag, and let the fun begin.

Budget

You need to set yourself some kind of budget if you want to be successful with this. It is the main reason why so many people struggle with getting away more than once a year. So, be strict. Stop having that take away just because you can’t be bothered to cook. Stop going out to every single thing you get asked to do. We’re not expecting you to become a hermit, but you need to cut back on the luxuries in life if you want to travel the world and see things you’ve never seen before. Figure out how much money you’re going to need in total. That’s accounting for the holiday itself, spending money, clothes etc. and make sure you’re putting enough money aside each month to be able to afford it. If you just cut back on a few things you’ll be surprised at how many holidays you could actually go on. Here’s more tips on how you can budget for a big holiday, https://www.lonelyplanet.com.

Find The Perfect Destination

This is the part that creates the most conflict for a lot of people, especially if you’re travelling with someone else. There are so many perfect destinations around the world, so why not just pull one out of a hat. Think of all the places you’d most like to go, and put them on a folded piece of paper into a hat. Whatever you pull out is the destination you’re going to. It takes all the awkwardness and arguing out of picking a destination, and makes it fun. Then look at companies such as G Adventures to see if they have a holiday suitable for your destination. Their FAQ page answers a lot of questions you might have about your travels, check out the link https://www.gadventures.com/faqs/. Once you’ve picked your destination, it makes the whole process of budgeting a lot easier as you know exactly how much you’re going to need to spend. Make sure you’re getting the best deal with your holiday, and that you’re going at the right time of year for that particular climate.

Pack Your Bags And Travel For Good

Your last option is truly liberating. Pack your bags and head out for good. Travelling for 6 months or a year is just so freeing. You can move from country to country whilst working in places such as bars to get money. You’ll have experience like no other, and no doubt make friends for life. It’s a big life change, but it doesn’t have to be permanent and it can give you an amazing life.

Holidaying in Muscat Oman

Still on the Middle East mini tour, after spending a week in Dubai, we went off to spend a weekend in Muscat, Oman. We have friends over there, so it was nice to catch up and explore the lovely city. Muscat is a beautiful conservative city. It is nothing as fancy as Dubai, but it is worth a visit if you are around the area.

We stayed over at Raddison Blu hotel, which was fab. We were hardly ever in the hotel because we were too busy trying to see the entire city in 48 hours, but the room was dead comfy when we needed it.

Muscat was very warm, it was over 38 degrees most of the time, but not as warm as Dubai. The kids had an amazing time. We visited many child friendly parks, one of them being Funtazmo in Oman Avenues Mall. It is the largest indoor family amusement centre in Oman. There were all sorts of games and rides, to keep the adults and children busy. We had a lovely time there.

It was 1 ride after the other for us. There was no dull moment here at Funtazmo, the kiddies didn’t want to leave. I even got on a few rides myself, screaming my lungs out as usual!

After spending a few hours here at the mall, we visited a few other shopping malls, markets, restaurants and the famous Al Qurum Natural Park (all in 48 hours). We visited the park at night, and got on even more rides with the kids. It was an amazing experience I would never forget.

I was too busy with the rides to remember to take some photos at the Al Qurum Natural Park, but the memories will stay with me forever!
