I took these photos the other day in London. The weather was nice and I was in the mood for some outfit photos. I am loving the casual style look this summer. I find it dead comfy and so easy to style. It literally takes me minutes to put an outfit together, and as a busy mum of 2, every minute counts.
I need my outfits to be totally comfortable, but yet very stylish! The kids are on summer holidays for the next few weeks, so that means we are super busy, trying to make the most of what we have left of summer (weather permitting), and juggling all sorts. Life is incredibly busy at the moment, but I won’t have it any other way.
How to Rock the Casual Style Look
Here are 2 style tips I stick to –
Focus on the Accessories
Keep everything else cool, and focus on the accessories. In my case, I am drawing all the attention to my sandals and my sunnies and it works. For you to get the Casual Style look right, your accessories have to do the talking. So scarves, sunnies, hats, footwear, bags, should be the focus, and not the actual outfit. And not all at once. I see some people rocking their accessories collection all in 1 outfit. That is not a good look.
Stick to a maximum of 2 colours
For you to get the casual styling look right, you should stick to a maximum of 2 clothes (not counting black or white). Anything more would be a little too much for a casual look. I would also avoid colour blocking for a when it comes to nailing a casual style, and I rather opt for monochrome colours as they are safer and easier to style casual.

Your style is great. You always get the accessories just right, which as you say, makes all the differece to an otherwise fairly simple outfit. Have a great summer!
Love the outfits, looks comfy and mommy friendly. I’m really loving the bag and shoes.
You always look great! Even when you’re casual you look smarter than me most days!
I love that top. In the week I tend to stick to a comfy top, leggings and Vans. It just makes it easier when running around after two little ones.
Thanks Emma. Comfy outfit is the way to go with kids..
Love the look, especially your tee. This teal colour is one of my favourite.
I love this outfit so much. It’s definitely something I would wear myself 🙂

Accessories are definetey key to a causal look. Love your shoes x
Thanks Kerry x
I love the pop of pattern the leopard print shoes add 🙂
I definitely need to start thinking more about accessories, they really do make a difference to your outfit.
Yes they do.
You make casual look glam! Love the back too x
I love this outfit, looks so comfy! That bag is gorgeous!
I love the shoes! All of my graphic tees are a little bit on the crazy side (color wise and prints) so I would love to try it but I’ll have to stick to one or two colors like you said, and make the rest of the outfit neutral.
Great look. I tend to go for jeans and a patterned t shirt most days but love a patterned skirt and plain top in summer or a dress.
