OOTD: My Love for Backpacks

Since becoming a mother, my fashion life has taken a back seat as expected. I am unable to wear sky-high shoes when out and about with the twins. I only started going out with my handbags. In the early days, I used to share the baby bag with them. I couldn’t see the point in taking 2/3 bags out at the same time.

During those days, I began to appreciate backpacks and shoulder bags. The fact that I could pop everything I needed in a backpack and still have my hands free to push the buggy or grab a child felt amazing. These days, you can easily spot me with a backpack. I find them very comfy and handy to have around. So when the opportunity to feature a Zatchel bag landed on my doorstep, I knew the style I was going for instantly.

I went for the Belgrave Cream Backpack. I really like the design and colour. This beauty is handmade in England from the finest quality soft leather. I adore the quick open clasp concealed behind the buckle and two front pockets with magnetic closures. I think it is a cute and stylish backpack.

The green top is also a new wardrobe  addition. I got it in the sale some weeks ago. It has been worn a few times now because I find it dead comfy and easy to layer with a blazer.

I am still in the process of sorting out my autumn/winter wardrobe. I am hoping to finish up this week. So look out for loads of autumn/winter outfit posts. I have a few lined up already.

  1. I am loving your look. I absolutely adore your backpack. Mine are grown and felt the best and we are on Grandchildren now however the trustee backpack works whatever your age.

It balances out what I need to carry, is far more comfortable and feels safer on me than a normal bag. I never use an ordinary bag accept for a night out now.

Ps: love your outfit, especially the green top

  2. Simply chic look. The bag pack is nice!
And your style would pick up in no time.
The children are growing and so that gives you more time to dress up more…
Hope you are well, haven’t seen you on my blog for a long time
    Okay, do take care.

  3. I’m also a mum who loves backpacks for the exact reasons you’ve mentioned. Big enough for everything the boy and I need but leaves both my hands free. I only ever use a handbag I’m if out and about on my own.

  4. Loved your backpack, it looks very classy as well. I personally never carry any clutch or purse and always had a fascination for backpacks, which I still carry:)

  5. That’s a really lovely bag. I’ve switched to a backpack since having children too, it’s so much easier to have hands free and saves getting one sore shoulder with all the nappies, snacks and drinks you need to carry around!

  6. I’ve actually been loving backpacks too! They’re so much easier on the shoulders and back, especially with the amount I put in my bags on a “just in case” basis! Love your backpack as it’s a great neutral shade.

  7. First of all, I must tell you that I am in love with your military green top as it is “my-kind-of-fashion”. I love backpacks as you can accommodate so many things in it. I have got one and I use it whenever I am travelling 🙂

  8. Hey there! I’m just back from a holiday so only catching up with your posts now. When it comes to backpacks I’ve reviewed backpacks for this winter if you fancy popping by to see the shortlist of the 15 that rock a winter trend.
