Many women do have a boyish figure. And many have no clue how best to style this body shape. You have a boyish figure if your bust and hips are a similar width, with a small bust and no defined waist.
Every body shape is beautiful and you can make the most of by your figure by following these style tips –
Create an illusion of a defined waist
With a boyish figure, there is usually no defined waist. However, you can create an illusion of a was it with a wide belt on a loose blouse and full skirt. It works like magic!
Show the legs off
Most ladies with boyish figures having long slim legs. Make sure you make the most of this gift by showing the legs off as often as possible. Opt for an A-line mini skirt to show off the legs and create an illusion of a waist too!
Avoid high-waisted jeans & wide-legged trousers
Avoid high-waisted jeans and trousers. They eliminate curves and make you look even less curvy. Also stay away from wide-legged trousers/jeans for the same reasons.
Go skinny
Skinny jeans/trousers are the way to go for most body shapes, and it is no different with the boyish shape. They look great on most women when styled properly. When wearing skinny jeans, ensure you wear a different shape on top for the right look. Pairing skinny jeans with a loose-fitting top is a great way to style.
Opt for horizontal stripes
For most body shapes, horizontal stripes do not work but they do for the boyish shape because of the slim upper body. Horizontal stripe pieces help to create an illusion of a bigger bust, which is what a boyish figure needs.
