I read Esther and Jerry Hicks books speaking on behalf of Abraham Hicks years ago. Their words are always spot on and true. I forgot completely about them until quite recently. Someone mentioned Abraham Hicks on a Facebook group and it reminded me of their wise words. The name came to me again and I went off to YouTube to watch their clips for the first time. I was expecting to see a man but was blown away it was a woman – Esther Hicks, and seeing Abraham Hicks working through her brought back memories. What Abraham Hicks has reminded me

Watching Abraham Hicks has reminded me about many things. I can resonate with almost all the teachings. It is like I knew all about them before and just needed to be reminded. Here are some of my favourite life lessons from the teachings of Abraham Hicks.

You attract what you focus on

Abraham Hicks’ teachings is largely based on attracting what you focus on. If you don’t want something, don’t focus on it. It is that simple. Instead focus on what you do want. The Law of Attraction is true and we need to ensure our focus is placed on what we want to manifest, rather than on what we don’t want in our experiences.

Not everyone is going to understand your journey

Our spiritual journey is ours, not everyone is going to get it and that’s fine. We need to focus on our growth and be ok with others not being on the same page as us.

Appreciate yourself

Many of us neglect ourselves. We focus on everyone else and put ourselves and wellbeing last every time. Abraham Hicks has reminded me to learn to appreciate myself a lot more and take myself off the last on the list every time.

Life is supposed to be fun

We tend to make life a lot harder than it is supposed to be. Life is meant to be fun and easy, but it becomes harder thanks to the decisions we make and how we go about living.

Find your joy within

Our joy should come from within and shouldn’t be dependant on how others behave or treat us. Once the joy is tapped in from within, you will never feel the need to depend on someone else to make you feel good.

Here, brands pay you to write a post about their products and services. You do that in return for a fee. This is the main source of income for Fashion and Style Police. Most of the income I earn from the blog comes from sponsored posts.

 

Guest Posts

This is similar to sponsored posts, the difference is that the brands write the post. This is another way I earn money from Fashion and Style Police. A good chunk of my income comes from guest posts.

 

Affiliate Marketing

This is another way to make money from your blog. You can paid a small commission every time an reader clicks through an affiliate link and makes a purchase. I currently use Amazon Affiliates and the pennies are growing. I plan to paying more attention to this source of income this year. It is one way to start making money from your blog.

Products/Services

Selling products and services is another way to make money. This is another main source of income for me. I offer a blogger outreach service, where I handle online marketing campaigns for brands. I have been doing this for almost 5 years now and it is a steady for making money for me because I have the knowledge and skills required. Many years, I use to offer copywriting services but I no longer do that. It wasn’t profitable and I wasn’t enjoying it, so I stopped. I recently started offering a blog coaching service and I have had many clients already, so this source of income is growing too!

If you have a product or service to offer, you could be making lots of money via your blog.

 

Banner Ads

This is another way I make money on the blog. It is quite popular with bloggers and easy to set up. I have a few banner ads and the money is good when it comes in.

 

These are some ways you could make money from your blog but the first thing to do is to get people on your blog. If no one is reading your blog, you won’t be able to make money from it. Once the right amount of eyeballs are reading, then you can start to play around with these ways of making money.
