My Blog Coaching Service

If you have been reading my blog for sometime now, you would know I now offer a blog coaching service. This service is great for new bloggers looking to grow their blog quickly and start to earn an income from it. My blog coaching service will teach you how to go about getting your blog to the right standards, so you can start reaping the benefits. There is a small fee for this service to cover my time but it is quite affordable because I want to help as many bloggers as I can.

I think there is more than enough room for every blog on the big wide web, and I know every blog has the potential to be a lot more. Blogging tip – Why you should run giveaways

I have been running giveaways on Fashion and Style Police for years and I love doing them. It is a blogging tip I picked up in the early days and I am glad I did. Running giveaways is my way of giving back to my readers. It feels great to give back to people who read my blog on a daily basis. It also allows me obey the law of giving. The prizes I offer vary from cheap to average prices, and sometimes luxury items. It all depends on whether I am working with a brand or funding the giveaway by myself.

I know some bloggers are against running giveaways. They believe it doesn’t do your blog any favours and all that. I disagree. Here are a few reasons why you should run blog giveaways if you are not doing so already –

 

It introduces you to new readers/subscribers

Giveaways introduce your blog to new readers who may end up subscribing for real and reading every blog post. I have met and come to know many readers online thanks to running a giveaway. If you feel like your blog needs to be read by more people and you want some new subscribers, try hosting a giveaway. The results may surprise you.

 

Running giveaways allows me obey The Law of Giving

If you know me well enough, you would know I am a very spiritual person. I believe in certain Laws of Success, and The Law of Giving is one of them. For those who are not familiar with this law, here’s a brief description of what it is all about –

The act of giving has to be joyful. The frame of mind has to be one in which you feel joy in the very act of giving. Each time I meet someone I will silently wish them laughter, joy and happiness. I will give something to everyone I come in contact with. Be it a card, flower, gift, compliment or silent prayer. 

 

The Law of Giving for me encourages me to run more and more giveaways, regardless of the price tag. As long as I am giving away joyfully, I fulfil that law in a way and it works wonders for me.

More traffic on the blog

Running giveaways brings a good number of traffic to my blog, which is amazing of course. If done properly, giveaways can take your blog views to dizzying heights. Just another reason to host them if you are not doing so already.

 

I could go on and on about the amazing benefits of running giveaways. The benefits are too numerous to mention. I am glad I started this in the early days and I plan to carry on hosting giveaways on this blog. The benefits are just so amazing not to, and if you run the giveaways properly, using the right prizes for your blog, you could take your little corner on the big wide web to a whole new level.

What is a blog and why is blogging so popular? This is one question I know for a fact many people search for on search engines. It comes up regularly when I am researching keywords for my blog posts. So I decided to write this post to help answer some question surrounding the blogging industry.

 

What is a blog?

A blog like Fashion and Style Police is a regularly updated website/web page usually owned by an individual (blogger) and written in a conversational or informal style. Blog posts are articles that appear on the blog and they usually include pictures, texts, videos and animated GIFs. A blog can set to private or public. If set to public, your blog posts can be accessed on the big wild web by anyone except you set up specific blog posts to private access only.

The difference between blogs and websites

A blog can appear as posts on one page or individual pages. Posts are usually displayed to readers in reverse chronological order with the most recent content appearing first, unlike a regular website. Many confuse blogs for websites, and websites for blogs.

A website is updated with fresh content less frequently than a blog. Blogs usually have weekly, daily or even less than hourly updates. Also, blogs have comment sections to encourage online conversations about the blog content. This is not the case with a regular website.

 

Why are blogs so popular

Blogs are popular because people enjoy reading and writing them. Good blogs entertain, educate and inform their readers, which is why their readers keep coming back. Great blogs attract hundreds/thousands of views on a daily basis and this is because they play a role. Blogs provide a social outlet separate from social media platforms. Reading and commenting on blogs is a way to socialise online and at the end of the day, we are humans like to socialise one way or the other, and blogs provide that platform to interact with people all over the world. These are some of the reasons why blogs are so popular today.

If you are thinking of starting a blog, I would advise you to go ahead and do it. Many people believe the blogging industry is saturated and yes it is saturated but there is always room for a great blog. If your blog stands out from the rest and you have something to offer, then you will have no problem attracting blog views and followers, which will eventually lead to you making money from your blog.
