Rebel Wilson Marie Claire July 2016

This year is all about Rebel Wilson, and I am loving it. This is her second magazine cover this year, she was on the cover of Cosmopolitan UK January 2016 issue. I like this Marie Claire July 2016 cover a lot. I prefer it to the previous Cosmo cover. Rebel Wilson is looking so fierce and so beautiful. The red outfit screams summer, her hair and makeup, especially her nude lippie, is giving me life. This looks so good and she knows it.

I have always found Rebel Wilson very interesting to watch. I think she is really talented and good at what she does, which is making people laugh. But I think she is a natural. I don’t think she is putting on an act per se. I think she would be as funny in life as she is in the movies, if not funnier.

I am not surprise to discover Rebel has a no nudity clause in her contract, she discussed this in detail with Marie Claire:

They wanted full-frontal nudity. We write in the contract, specifically, “No nudity”. They got in another girl – this larger burlesque dancer from South Africa – to be a nude double. And they got her to do all this stuff. Sacha would go, “See, she looks good.” I’m like, I’m not doing it. I don’t care what you say.’ Though she did reveal she could be persuaded for a more serious movie. ‘you want to know that the people [behind the camera] have a certain sensibility and decency. And a lot of times in comedy they’re not those people.

This is the second actress I know that has refused to go nude on camera. It is refreshing to know many are daring to stand out, and not afraid to be different.

This issue is out now and I can definitely see myself grabbing a cover.

Renee Zellweger Covers British Vogue July 2016

Our very own Bridget Jones aka Renee Zellweger is on the cover of British Vogue July 2016. I am so happy to see her on this Vogue cover. I have not seen or heard much from her in years. She is barely recognisable these days, I am not too sure what she did to her face, but whatever it is, I don’t like it at all. I like the good old Bridget Jones look, and I am glad she looks more like her self on this cover.

I am also loving her floral Prada gown. It is great for the season, and it looks amazing on her.

I am definitely grabbing a copy of this issue. I would want to read about what she has been up to all these years, and her new movie – Bridget Jones’s Baby, due to be released in September 2016. I am so excited about the movie, and can’t wait to watch it. It has been so long. She explains the reason for her absence in the interview with British Vogue, saying it was necessary for her to take a break from acting so she could have real life experiences:

“I found anonymity, so I could have exchanges with people on a human level and be seen and heard, not be defined by this image that precedes me when I walk into a room,” the July cover star and Oscar-winning actress told editor-at-large Fiona Golfar in this month’s cover interview. “You cannot be a good storyteller if you don’t have life experiences, and you can’t relate to people.”

I agree with her completely. In order to be a good story-teller, you must have a life. One of the reasons why I find it so funny when people say bloggers do not have a life is because in order to be a great content creator, with an engaged audience, you must have a life, but then again, most of them know nothing about creating content so I let them be.

Bella Hadid Covers ELLE UK July 2016 Issue

The model; Bella Hadid is looking very fierce on the cover of ELLE UK July 2016 issue. I am loving this cover so much. The pose, denim shirt, light makeup and messy hair looks amazing. I knew little or nothing about Bella Hadid, never heard of her until this cover, so I was very curious to read more about her. I guessed she was related to the famous Gigi Hadid, they are actually sisters, but that is all I knew, her face didn’t ring a bell.

However, after reading her interview with ELLE, I know quite a bit about her now. Her full name is Isabella “Bella” Khair Hadid. She is an American fashion model, signed to IMG Models. She was born in California in 1996 to Yolanda Hadid and Mohamed Hadid. She has a fantastic modelling career, and has recently appeared on the campaigns of Balmain x H&M, Marc Jacobs, and Topshop. Her mother Yolanda is actually a ‘Real Housewife’ on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and that is how the family got into the limelight.

When asked how she copes in the demanding world of modelling:

My mom always taught me to think about something happy when I’m working, because it kind of shows through your face. I used to think about my horses. But now I think about other things. I wonder what was going through her head during the shot when she was stand- ing outside in the freezing rain, wearing just a high-cut red swimsuit and leather jacket? Well, that’s more of an aggressive look. It depends on what the vibe is. I was probably thinking, “Get me the hell out of this bathing suit.’”

I love her sense of humour. A woman with a good sense of humour can survive anything. What are your thoughts on Bella Hadid? Have you heard of her?
