Jessica Alba Covers Cosmopolitan UK April 2016

I have spotted the first British magazine cover for the month of April, and it is amazing. The beautiful and very successful Jessica Alba is the cover girl for Cosmopolitan UK April 2016 and I am super excited. I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy of this issue. I have admired Jessica Alba since her Honey days, and I have always been interested in anything that concerns her. Her company – The Honest Company, set up in 2011, is now worth £1.2 million, and last year, her personal value was estimated at £240million making her worth more than Beyonce (she’s  worth £176million). I like to know what makes successful people tick, and to read about Jessica’s success secrets and exactly how she made $1 billion sounds ace. I am also interested in the ‘Homeless to Hollywood’, ‘How is your Selfie Esteem’ feature, the fashion feature also sounds like a great read.

The cover is very catchy and girly with the pink background. Alba looks sexy in a playful way, with the white short dress, which works with the overall theme of the cover. I like it, I like it a lot.

This issue is sure to catch the eye of many on the newstands, and the price is also budget friendly. This issue with the enticing headlines, all for the price of £1. Sounds too good to be true but it is. I must confess, I hate paying anything more than a pound for a magazine. Anything over that price tag is just too pricey in my eyes. Most times, I wait to read any expensive magazine when next I am in a waiting room, or anywhere I am lucky to scan through it quickly.

What are your thoughts? Will you be buying this issue? Drop me a comment, lets chat.

Thanks for reading and have a great day xoxo

Nicole Kidman Covers Harper’s Bazaar March 2016

The lovely Nicole Kidman is on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar for March 2016. The beauty wears Alexander McQueen jacket and dress with La Perla slip and Harry Winston jewellery, photographed by Norman Jean Roy and styled by Miranda Almond.

Nicole Kidman is one woman who always looks good on magazine covers. I am yet to see a magazine cover of her not look good. This cover is right up my street. I am loving her pose and outfit, with a pop of red and white as the cover theme. That Alexander McQueen jacket is giving me life right now.

Nicole Kidman wears Marchesa gown, Van Cleef & Arpels earrings, Tiffany & Co bracelet and Bionda Castana heels on the subscribers’ edition cover.

I prefer the main cover, it is sure to catch the eyes of many on the newsstands, unlike the subscribers cover. I guess the powers that be at Harper’s Bazaar don’t have to worry too much about the subscribers cover. The subscribers are reading the magazines mainly for the content, unlike the rest of us that grab a copy mainly for the cover, lol…

I remember back in the day, when my dream was to work as a staff of one of these magazines. I had my eye on all the major ones – British Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, Cosmo and Harper’s Bazaar. I stalked followed the editors on Twitter, applied for various roles, and kept dreaming of the day my dreams would come true. Today, that feels like a long time ago. I have zero interest in working with any of them on a full-time basis, but will happily freelance, hahaha. My dreams have come true but in a very different way.

Anyways, back to Nicole’s cover, I love it but not enough to buy it because I have zero interest in her life or career, and the other features on the cover do not entice me enough to buy it.

Did you ever dream of writing for any of the big magazines or do you? Drop me a comment, let’s chat.

Thanks for reading.

Karlie Kloss Covers Elle UK March 2016

MAIN_KARLIE

I am loving this March 2016 cover of Elle UK featuring American model and tech entrepreneur, Karlie Kloss, photographed by Kai Z Feng. It is proper bright and colourful, and that Louis Vuitton jacket is giving me life right now. Just what I need to look at on a gloomy winter day. Karlie Kloss looks fierce on the cover. Her look kind of reminds me of David Bowie, bless his soul. Guess she was channeling him with this look, and I think she nailed the look she was going for.

The colours on this cover caught my eye on the newsstands, and I found myself grabbing one. Overall, I enjoy reading Elle. I find most of the articles quite interesting and I am sure this would be a good read as well. I have a copy with me, just need to find the time to actually read. I should do so hopefully this weekend.

I am guessing this issue will focus on her business venture, and I am so interested in reading more about that. I am always eager to go into the minds of successful entrepreneurs, so having Karlie Kloss on the cover was a no brainer for me. I knew I had to have it.

For a price tag of £4.10, I can understand why many won’t bother buying this magazine issue. I find Elle quite pricey myself so I tend to buy only few and select issues I am very interested in. I can do quite a lot with £4.10, so splashing that on a magazine every month won’t be sensible. Besides I hardly have space for myself in my house these days, so hoarding magazines wont be smart, lol.

This cover is definitely the best Elle UK magazine cover I have seen this year. Do you agree? Share your thoughts.
